We stayed 4 nights over the last weekend in Sept. Booked via Easyjet £406 for a room for 2 including breakfast. Room was small but very clean and well appointed. Hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Location great - very near the Vatican but quiet and residential area at night. Couple of very good neighbourhood restaurants including the...

Stayed in a double classic room (one bed) for 4 nights in August at 129 Euro per night including tax, services and buffet breakfast. Front staff helpful and everyone spoke some English. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Breakfast was okay, not a big selection, mostly cereals, pastry and bread. Breakfast room is very small, but we went early...

Hotel Amalia is a VERY clean hotel in a great location if you are going to see the Vatican and St. Peter's. The neighborhood around the hotel is very pleasant with many good restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were somewhat small, but styled very nicely with GREAT bathrooms! The breakfast each morning was excellent with several selection of tasty...

We have just returned from 3 nights at the Amalia which we booked online through Easyjet Hotels. At £56 per room per night we were very impressed with what we got. The location was excellent, less than a 5 minute walk to the Vatican and 50 yards to the underground and bus stops to explore Rome. We asked for a...

This Hotel was wonderful. We would stay there again! We arrived hot and tired from our long trip from the States and Leonardo was there to greet us and make us feel welcome. He was very helpful with all our requests, even suggesting a department store close by, and really helped out in attempting to locate our missing luggage. The...

I visited the hotel with my mother in June. The air con was a blessing as Rome was experiencing very hot weather over 36 degrees. Our room was on the ground level at the back of the hotel which was good as my mother has difficulty with stairs. It was compact but had very pleasant furnishings and a lovely bathroom....

Being American I was a little shocked by the small size of the hotel room at first. But it was in a good location and the help was very pleasant. Clearly as old and small as everything else in Italy. It is a one block walk to the Vatican Museums and two block walk to St. Peter's. There are also...

We have just returned from a 3night stay and have no complaints about this pleasant little hotel. Our 3rd floor rooms were spacious and comfortable as well as having en-suite facilities.Ideally situated for the Vatican we found the staff helpful and knowledgable. After reading the rather poor reports concerning the breakfasts, we were pleasantly surprised to find an adequate selection of cereals,rolls,...

We stayed at the Amalia for 8 nights in November 2005. I love neighborhood and location of the hotel. It is just a block from the Vatican wall and entrance to the Vatican museum. The lovely ensuite rooms on the upper 3 floors are remodeled and very comfortable. The rooms on the first 2 floors have shared baths are best...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
