I stayed here recently while on a business trip to Rome. I took along a friend, so we needed a room with two twin beds. For the two of us the room was way too small. It was well appointed. The room was stuffy, and we needed fresh air, but the only way to get air was to open the window...

Hello, thank you so much for your great review and for recommending it to othe travelers. I am so sorry if nobody answered in the past to your kind review. Also because you put in evidence the small size of the rooms, that are in fact similar to common European standard. For your grater rooms you could consider chain hotels,...

Unfortunately the Dei Consoli is not an ideal hotel for tourists. There are no public rooms to relax in say, for a drink before dinner. The only public room is a small breakfast area. The breakfast was not good. The hot food was scrambled egg and a type of wafer thin ham but although it was in a warming dish...

We stayed at this hotel for the Easter break. We had booked the junior suite for the four of us (2 adults and 2 kids)and they gave us another room in addition to the junior suite. The rooms are very small, but they are elegant. The breakfast was good; and, yes, the cappucino is great ! The hotel is very clean...

We stayed at the Hotel Dei Consoli on September 18-22, 2007. Though small, our room was elegantly appointed and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay and was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. It was still quite warm in Rome, so we really appreciated that the air conditioning worked well and good soundproofing made...

I start with an apology to Fabritzio for taking so long to write this review of his wonderful hotel. My wife Gill and I stayed here for four nights in the second week of January. We had glorious weather and did all the sights on foot from the hotel. Thanks to Fabritzio we even managed to visit some of the...

Stayed at the Dei Consoli for our four nights in Rome, November 7 through 11, 2007. Our room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful, with gracious service -- and delicious cappuchino! The location is conveniently near the Ottaviano Metro stop, and within a brief walk to St....

We were very pleased with our stay at the Dei Consoli. The rooms were not huge but spotlessly clean and well sound proofed. The only disappointment was the fact there were no tea and coffee making facilities which you would expect for a 4 star Hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We booked this hotel based on price, after a cruise on the Star princess.Although we arrived at 10a.m., they asked us to wait a few minutes and had a room ready for us.After so many people complaining about small rooms, we expected a closet! Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
