Once school was over, my husband and I decided to take our children, two teenage boys, to Rome to visit the capital. I therefore looked for a hotel that could be in a convenient location to be able to get around the city on foot. After much research and after reading many reviews of various hotels, I settled on this hotel and I must say that it was an excellent choice. I booked a family suite which was very large and comfortable, equipped with everything you need, from a hairdryer to bathroom products, from slippers to toothbrushes and a razor, as well as obviously a mini bar, a kettle, TV and air conditioning. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet despite facing a passing street. However, the thing that surprised us the most was the great kindness of the staff, especially that of the reception, a kindness that was not forced or fake, but truly authentic which even amazed my children. They always made sure that everything was going well, they welcomed us before the check-in time, they provided us with a map of the city giving us advice on how to get around and they kept our suitcases in storage to allow us to visit the city comfortably and they did the same on the day of our departure, holding our luggage and then offering us a drink and allowing us to use the bathrooms to freshen up before calling us a taxi to the station. The location is truly strategic and in a few minutes you can reach the Quirinale, the Trevi fountain, the Colosseum, the Altare della Patria, in short all the beauties of the capital. Breakfast was quite varied and was taken in the hotel restaurant where, the only complaint was, it was a little too cold due to the air conditioning. We will certainly refer to this hotel again for our next trips to Rome, because we really enjoyed it.

From Rome Fiumicino Airport to the Hotel it was approximately 40' at a cost of €50 (determined by the location of the hotel). Very friendly reception with a quick explanation about the location of the hotel and the tourist attractions (you can do everything on foot, the Vatican is a little further away). We stayed in a room overlooking the Altare della Patria, a renovated room and it served us very well. We did not use the breakfast service (cost €12 per person). We arrived at night and headed to the Trevi Fountain (8 to 10' walk past the beautiful Palazzo del Quirinale, then just go down the stairs and be enchanted). Useful tip: supermarket 3' from the Trevi Fountain (Coop, Via del Pozzetto, 119). (*) The elevator is a unique experience and takes us back in time.

For a 3-star hotel, this one barely makes the rating. If it were not for the friendly staff, it would be a 2. Our first room was in an interior location, near some humming mechanism. After bringing this up to the manager, he kindly moved us to a better room, and it even had a view. The rooms are sparse, small, and really are simply a place to sleep, earplugs needed. The lift, though charming to look at, is not very user friendly, and if the doors are not properly closed, the lift doesn't work, and you are stuck having to use the stairs. The breakfast was also sparse to say the least and stay away from the scrambled eggs. The selection was limited, and not high quality. For location, the only advantage is it is near a bus stop, and you can walk to Victor Emmanuel II Monument. There are no real choices of dining nearby, though the restaurant connected to the hotel does offer a dinner menu, but you really need to take a cab or bus to get to dining. Our scheduled pickup time to go to the airport with the hotel driver was 15 minutes late, and if it wasn't for the hotel management calling a cab, it could have been much later... Was it worth the money we paid, no.

Just book this hotel. Don't hesitate. The service, attention and friendliness was second to none. We were greeted by Rafaele after a very long journey well before check-in time. He told us we could refresh in the bathroom and he brought us a cappuccino. Before we were finished with our coffee he said they got a room ready for us. We got to check in 3 hours early! That sort of service sets the tone for the entire trip! The breakfast was AMAZING! Everything you want and need. The coffee machine is top notch. The location is great. You're about 15 minutes from almost everything in the city center. Steps from the Forum, 10 minutes to the Colosseum, 12-15 minutes to the Trevi Fountain and we even walked back from St. Peter's and it took about 40 minutes. The Gelatist is right across the street and nothing hits the spot from a day of sightseeing like knowing you can run in and grab a quick gelato before going back to your room. The little pizza place going down the steps near the hotel is delicious. Mizio's Street Food is close and is not to be missed. Ristorante Abruzzi was so good we went twice and is a 5 minute walk. I can't imagine staying anywhere else if/when we come back to Rome! Thank you!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is near to most of the Sightseeing sights. It is within walking distance to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and many Piazzas. It is also near to a bus station and a little bit also near to a Metro station. When you do not want to walk you easily take the bus from the hotel. Aside from the location, the staffs are very attentive there was this Raphael and Antonio was respectful and never fail to smile and greet you Buongiorno. They upgraded my room to a room with City View which is unbelievably got beautiful from the sunset. I booked the room without breakfast but you can also easily add one for 6Euros per day and which I think is reasonably priced. It had enough options for instance scrambled egg, bacon, croissants, and a selection of fruits. Their drinks in the minibar are as well reasonably priced which I find rare in hotels. On the other hand the building, the rooms are not in top-notch condition but it is okay since once you are in Rome I think you will be most of the time out in the city exploring Museums, sitting in Piazzas, eating outside and many more. It is highly recommended.

Stayed here for a few days. Short walk to Trevi Fountain, restaurants and shops. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic, clean and air conditioned. Shower gel, shampoo and little toiletries in the room and there is a hairdryer in the bathroom which I wasn't aware of before my trip. The lift is an old type small lift so if you are nervous in lifts you are best taking the stairs. I would stay here again if I was returning to Rome.

The hotel is in an excellent location - within walking distance of many of the big sights but set in a relatively peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Our double room was clean, comfortable and the shower was hot. There was a good selection for breakfast; cereal, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs. However, the best part about this hotel is the staff - they really cannot do enough for you. Special mention must go to Raphael who was always on hand behind the reception desk whenever we needed anything. He is incredibly welcoming, friendly and was always full of good advice. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Rome.

Arrived to a room with filthy carpet, shower drain was very slow and the street noise was extremely loud. The hotel was unable to accommodate a new room until the following day and we had friends staying at the same hotel. The following day they did move us to a clean room with a functional shower drain and minimal street noise.

The location and the service of the staff are amazing. The hotel shows the care taken in maintenance, cleaning and service. The dedication he has towards his guests is really good, they are always extremely friendly and quick to serve. It's worth it, it's close to Rome's main attractions, you can do everything on foot

Our second visit and it has only gotten better. Centrally located with short walks to all tourist venues. Arranged private ground transfers from airport (FCO) and to cruise port at very reduced rates. Wonderful front dest service for all kinds of reservations. Great attached restaurant with wonderful staff and open for breakfast. We will go back!
