Stayed here the whole time i was in Rome! It is a very nice hotel not far from the metro! It is very clean and wifi was good! The staff wasn't great, kind of felt like they felt like they were better than the guest! The breakfast was good and the beds were soft! I would stay here again just...

I would not recommend this hotel or other hotels near Roma Termini because of our experience with theif. On the breakfast table of the Hotel a theif or theives took the bag of my wife which contain cash, credit card & passport in split second. We went to the police 2 blocks away to report the incident but the police...

A wonderful surprise. Given the number of places to stay around Termini, it can be a bit of a gamble. This was one that paid off. It's an old hotel but is beautiful in its age. Lovely high ceilings, parquetry floors and a wonderful window box that opens out onto the beautiful city that is Rome. We picked up a...

We stayed only for one night because we had to leave the hotel we were staying the previous nights -which was opposite -because there were no room vacancies... The price of the room too high!!! The room a little old fashioned... Breakfast very good Location great!!! Train station, bus terminal within walking distance!

We chose this hotel as it was close to Roma Termini station for an overnight stop. We were pleasantly surprised because, although it is a commercial, tourist hotel, it was reasonably priced and quite comfortable. It is on a busy street with trams but it is not too noisy. The restaurant offered good food served by friendly staff. We shall...

Perhaps the greatest advantage of this hotel is its location very close to the Terminii which is Rome's main Rail and Bus Station including the Metro. It is so easy to come and go in any direction of the city from this point. It is a fine hotel, rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Across the road is the sister...

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. We requested a baby bassinet in advance and we're able to get one upon arrival. We had a fairly big room (room 227) compared to the others I saw in passing. I saw the pictures online and was expecting a dated hotel. The hotel decor matches the style of the city which...

Wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We were part of a tour group, so getting around was not an issue for us. But the hotel is within reasonable walking distance (for most people) to a few sites of interest such as the Termini (train) station and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, The Forum, Colosseum, and Altare della...

I stayed for 4 nights at Massimo D'Azeglio for business. The staff is friendly, location is very central in Rome, but the overall experience is far from luxury. Rooms are relatively small and furniture is very old. The worst experience ever is an insect attack during my sleep which left me with an injury for days. I couldn't catch the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
