Breakfast is incredible. Rooms are nice size and appointed well. Great helpful staff, and the rooftop bar has one of the most amazing views we have ever seen. Close walk to Via Veneto where a good stroll will bring you to great restaurants and nightlife. This hotel is within walking distance of many attractions, yet quiet enough for a great...

We had a fab time staying here, the staff were great, really friendly and helpful and very kind to our energetic daughter. Their attentivness made our stay and is what sets this hotel apart. Its not as 'fancy' as some of sofitel's flagship hotels (e.g. Munich) and doesnt have spa facilities/nespreso machines... But the rooms are lovely, well equpped and...

Room was delivered at 3 PM with one hour delay. "Not our fault" said the reception guy shaking shoulders. Probably mine. Or maybe this is a new welcoming tatic. Certainly this is not a boutique hotel as they woukd like to be .... Wifi does not work properly.

If I could rate the service 6/5, I would. Of all the hotels we stayed during our Euro trip, this hotel has the best service. From the reception to the porter to the waitresses in the restaurant, they're the best. They gave us recommendations on where to go and where to eat even before we asked. We had lunch at...

My friend and I just returned from a nine night stay at the Sofitel. The hotel is located in a quiet, elegant, upscale residential neighborhood across the street from the Villa Borghese Park. and two blocks from the Via Veneto. The staff is outstanding. Very attentive to the needs of their guests. However, be warned that the rooms, although handsome,...

Had a good and relaxing stay at Sofitel, staff service was beyond excellent and very accommodating. As you step out the taxi, there is someone to greet you and welcome your stay at the hotel. Overall, beyond my expectation and really a five star hotel. Well done accor and Sofitel Hotel Rome, well done.

I'll start by saying Rome is not my favorite city in the world, that said the Sofitel near Borghese is a great option to the frenzy that is Rome.  We stayed at this hotel on 2 different nights, on the front end of our trip as well as on the back end.  While we had two separate rooms during our...

Spent a great long-weekend in Rome staying at this hotel. The hotel is located at a small hill just behind the Spanish Steps. It is a 5 minute walk to the center, but in return - the rooftop terrace at the hotel offers magnificent views over the city! Both lunch and drinks at the roof terrace can be highly recommended!...

This place is a real gem for a weekend break and getting to see the city. Having not been to Rome before the Reception team could not do enough for us to make our weekend more special. Every single team member behind the desk were outstanding and so knowledgeable about what to do and see in the city. Ivan, Luca,...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
