Our group of 9 spent 3 nights at Giulio Cesare in October. We were all very pleased with this hotel. My room on the first floor was quite large and very elegant, while a tad noisy. The beds were extremely comfortable, the service kind and efficient, and the breakfasts quite good. One of the prettiest breakfast rooms I've ever seen in... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for four nights. The positives about this hotel are about the staff. The gentlemen at the front desk and the bar area were very helpful during our stay. The sheet was also changed daily. The wifi connection was good. However, I can not say the same about the females that worked the... More

It's classy, cosy with very beautiful decor. We always feel that we come back to our family. The owner and staff members are fun, courteous and intelligent. Exceptionally good full breakfast. Superb service. Marble bathrooms; bathtubs with jets are must after long days on your feet. Walking distance to Basilica di San Pietro, very close to gorgeous Piazza del Poppolo,... More

Lovely small 4 star hotel in quiet neighborhood. English speaking staff, wonderful breakfasts, close to metro, and within easy walking distance to many of the major sites in Rome. Stayed there 3 nights after bike tour of Tuscany. Very relaxing. Beautiful wood paneling throughout. Small garden area in back if you want to read or relax outside. Otherwise there is... More

Great hotel very clean and breakfast very good, the owner introduced himself, and said whatever we want we only have to ask with I thought was excellent. Linen changed every day. The hotel is in walking distance to the Vatican, and just up the street is the River Tiber.

The hotel was a short walk from the Vatican and fifteen minutes from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. The breakfast was terrific as was the staff. The AC was not working (they told us it was a software glitch and that it would be fixed the next day but never was)--our rooms were on the first floor and we needed... More

Stayed four nights at the hotel in September. Very good concierge / reception service and attention. Nice hotel, traditional but not too tired decor. Air-con available but not controllable from your room - managed by reception. Location; nice quiet street but close to metro, just 20min walk from Vatican Museum, 10min walk from Piazza de Popolo - from where you... More

I was surprised to see that we have not previously rated this hotel despite staying here several times per year for many, many years, and having recommended it to scores of friends. It's an old-fashioned place, medium-sized, with attentive service and big rooms, some with nice views of the outdoor dining area and residential buildings of this upper middle class... More

We stayed here from October 8-10, 2016. Our room was on the fifth floor and sported a comfortable queen size bed as well as all of the amenities you would expect. It was clean and the service was good. The location was great. We were able to walk pretty much anywhere. Breakfast was wonderful with cappuccino served at your request.... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
