The hotel was a bit old-fashioned on the inside, but in all regards clean and comfortable. The location is good for walking about, and the area is nice away from the crowds. The staff was very nice. Would stay here again.

cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the
cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to
five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law

Yes , I have stayed in both , just a larger room , we did not have a great view in either room , but just larger . To me it didn't make different since we were not in the room that much .
