The hotel was excellent , clean rooms and helpful staff. Language is not a barrier at any time. The breakfasts were plentiful with an enormous range of food available catering for a full spectrum of cultures. Excellent WIFI available free. We had an excellent bar meal at one lunch time. The hotel is within easy reach of all the main... More

I stayed here 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean and I found the hotel staff to be welcoming and helpful. The location cannot be beat as you are just a stone's throw from the Coliseum and many other wonderful sites of Rome. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and we was well-serviced.... More

The Hotel is very close to the Coliseum, St Peter in Chains is just across the street, and the Metro is a quick walk (just ask the concierge for directions). The rooms are small but very functional, as is typical in all of Europe, which seems to upset some Americans who apparently don't travel overseas much, if at all. The... More

Rome can be overwhelming especially if you've never been before. This hotel is in a great proximity to the train station, coliseum, Roman forum and central Rome. It was very clean and room very spacious. Service was friendly and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel Palatino is very close to the Colosseum, Cavour metro station and the Monti area where you get pretty good food – so full marks for the location. The view though is average and the washroom was a bit cramped. Breakfast starts early, which allows you to head out to the sights earlier as well.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is location and ~$140USD/night price. The location is right in the middle of everything (which is why you would even consider it) and there are some delicious restaurants nearby too. But that's all it has. Online pictures look nice but are not at all representative of the actual hotel. Maybe they... More

The Grand Hotel Palatino was provided as part of a cruise package and proved to be an excellent hotel. Stayed two nights. Rooms were a good size, pretty modern and very clean, with the usual refrigerator, hair dryer, etc. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Nice bathroom with an excellent combination bath/shower. Breakfast was included and was terrific with a terrific... More

I booked this hotel solely on its proximity to the Colosseum since it was our main point of interest during this trip. We ended up taking a shared shuttle from the airport to the hotel for about 30 euros (2 people) but there is also a non stop train that connects you to the city which cost 14 euros per... More

I spent 3 nights here with 2 kids. The staff was attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean and nice, maybe a bit noisy on the side of Via Cavour, but it was okay... The quality of the breakfast is average. Location is very good, Colosseum, Termini or the underground may be accessed esily. Overall, recommended, priced fairly.

The hotel was being remodeled during our stay. The lobby was getting an upgrade. The food in the lobby restaurant was hot and flavorful but slightly over priced. The front desk was staff was pleasant enough during our stay but they got a few things mixed up with our reservations as we had 5 rooms. The hotel is walking distance... More
