Clean rooms and excellent breakfast. Staff is friendly and efficient. Great location, just a couple of block from the Termini and other Roman tourist attractions. The WiFi is good. The neighborhood is safe but noisy at night.

Asked for a room with a view and was given a room with a balcony. The jaquzzi shower was good, and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The only downside was the air conditioning didn't seem to be working but that wasn't as problem as it was nice to have the windows open.

Amazing first trip to Italy. We went with our two college aged kids, ages 20 and 18. Stayed here in a quadruapule sized room which was perfect for the 4 of us. We did not spend a lot of time in the room. Perfect location, walking distance to the termini train station and tons of good restaurants. Also room came...

Great place to stay so local. Everything on your doorstep. Quiet in the evening with nice rooftop bar. Once you know the breakfast layout, it is varied, there is all you need. Pillow a bit hard for me though.

We had a room at the side of the hotel. There was no air conditioning at the hotel so you had to open the window to allow fresh air to get in. As the hotel is on a main street it was very noisy with traffic and pedestrians, starting very early in the morning. We were lucky as our visit...

This hotel has one thing definitely going for it - the location is only a three minute walk from the main train station in Rome. I don't think I would have been quite as disappointed with our room if Hotwire hadn't listed this as a 4 star hotel - I would personally give it 2.5 - 3 stars. The room...

Located 5 mins from the main train station. Cosy hotel. Morning receptionist - Adrina is very helpful even though she does not smile much. I had a single room. Space is pleasant for a single person. Full breakfast served on the roof top. My room does not have tea/coffee maker but that is the price you pay. Located on a...

I visited Rome in early April 2017 to take part in the Maratona di Roma. As part of a running club we chose the palladium palace as our base and all in all it was an excellent choice. The hotel is situated quite centrally with good access to the train and bus routes of Rome. It was only 10 minutes...

The hotel is easily accessible, friendly staff, good breakfast (several types of coffee, egg dishes, pancake machine etc), room facing the street was somewhat noisy in the mornings due to the busy road next to it but not in a disturbing way.

Very happy with this hotel. they upgraded us. We were given this when we selected a mystery hotel and couldn't have been happier. It was just one night but I would stay again. Very close to Termini. We just walked with our bags to the station and it only took a few minutes.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel's elegant interiors, attended to in their every detail and made precious by the courteous and professional ambience provided by its staff, make of the Hotel Palladium Palace one of the most successful 4 star hotels in Rome. A magnificent late 19th century edifice houses the hotel's interiors, with its (24 hr) reception adorned in classic noble wood furnishings coordinated with marble. The common areas in the Hotel Palladium Palace are embellished with sophisticated and refined details, such as findings of ancient fragments of marble friezes. The hotel's guests have access to the lobby and TV room, the bar (always open), and the breakfast hall with its American style buffet (serving sweet and savory offerings). The gym features a sauna, a rarity for a 4 star hotel in Rome, and an ideal choice for those who want to keep fit during their vacation or business trip in a hotel in Rome. The Hotel Palladium Palace's most spectacular feature is its rooftop, with a panoramic terrace on the last floor of the building, overlooking the rooftops and cupolas of Rome, where the hotel's guests can enjoy the privilege of having breakfast or spending relaxing moments in good company. ... more   less
