Great location and room was clean and well appointed. However, there was no hot water the first morning we were there. After 3 phone calls spaced 45 minutes apart where we were assured "someone will be at your room in a couple of minutes", finally someone showed up before noon to tell us we'd have to find another hotel. When...

3 nights of no hot water and cool reception makes this a place to avoid! But if you decide to stay there request a room that doesn't over look alley, that has hot water and that has air condition! Even in November our Room was hot hot and when we told staff, we were met with complaints by the staff...

Avoid this hotel as they seem to routinely double book rooms and send you to a substandard hotel as we found out. When we protested the man at reception was unhelpful and rude. Don't risk it as there are lots of nice hotels in Rome. We wish we had taken notice of the other reviews.

Should have read Trip Advisor and taken notice. Arrived at 10pm, only to be told no room at the inn. Funny how best mate around the corner happened to have one available in his "stable". We were not taken in, and after a lot or argument and the fantastic help of Expedia, we dumped the four night booking and went...

The room is excelent. Big bathroom and everything new and clean. But the hotel service is not so good, they overbooked the reservations, and our first night was transferred to a simpler hotel. They also sad that we were going to receive a gift for the problems, but the gift never arrived.

When I read the reviews I worried. We had booked the hotel through secret escapes for my 30th birthday and i had visions of us turning up to now rooms. I emailed the hotel however, and called secret escapes and all booking was in order. The room itself was more than adequate for a city break. It was clean and...

I feel like a monkey. I read the reviews about rooms not being available when people arrived. I also read the reviews about booking.com being a complete disaster. Then I booked this hotel using booking.com to start my honeymoon. Worst travel mistake of my life. I did email them to confirm the reservation and got an email response confirming my...

I booked this hotel because of previous reviews and ratings and also because of the clean lines of the rooms. Yes the hotel was very clean I could not fault it. The things which let it down was the lumpy floppy pillows and for two people staying there were only three pillows, the bed was not very comfortable it was...

Booked this hotel based on good reviews a few months ago, when I checked for more recent reviews last week I was concerned about all the people who were being moved to another hotel (for one night) as there had been problems with their booking. Emailed the hotel via their website to ask them to confirm that all would be...

As with others, when I showed up to check in (my reservation was made and confirmed through Expedia), I was told the hotel was overbooked and they were going to move me to a 4-star hotel. We were walked around the corner to the to Lodovisi Palace, which is not an equivallent hotel. That evening, i looked on-line and the...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
