A friend and I were on a tight budget but didn't want to be too far from the city, so we stayed here. Location was great, room was comfortable, wifi, clean bathrooms, AC, and even a balcony. Would highly recommend to anyone on a budget.

I loved this place! It was located in the Trasteverde area (Giancolo Hill). Walking distance to city centre was around 20 minutes if I remember it alright. Host was excellent and caretaking. Breakfast was super and the balcony and kitchen were lovely! Only negative thing was that there were only one bathroom. Room was spacious, modern, tidy and clean. Nothing...

Carini guesthouse is located in a nice and quiet area, relatively close from the center of Rome. The whole apartament constitutes from kitchen, several well- furnitured and clean rooms and two spatial bathrooms. It is undoubtedly a place with good atmosphere. Breakfasts are rather satisfying but a bit monotonyous- eggs, toasts, butter, jam, tomatoes, cucumbers, oranges, chocolate cream and of...

Very comfortable, not far from the city center, really not expensive, breakfasts were nice :) Especially I want to thank an owner for his attitude to the guests, it was very nice to stay there and I hope to return.

This is not a classic hostel, it doesn't have many rooms and it is really quiet. The time we stayed there, there were only two more girls, so we had the impression of having the place for ourselves. The room was really nice and spacey, with a big bed and a cute terrace. The breakfast is also awesome, you get...

I usually don't write bad reviews, but I don't understand the good ones...I supose It's a matter of expectations. The place is nice, very "authentic", and also is the owner...But this B&B has a lot of several negative points: ubication is not good, the center is not "15 minutes walking", our room had no air-con (and imagine Rome on August...heat,...

This is a great place to stay if you like the Trastevere-area. It's also close to the wonderful park Doria Pamphili, that way you get away from the noise of the busy center of Rome. You can walk from the guesthouse and to the city center (if you like to walk;, or take the bus). The guesthouse is clean, and...

We loved the Carini guesthouse! My boyfriend and I traveled here as a graduation vacation and loved every minute. It was our fist time traveling abroad and Alex & Phillip couldn't have been nicer. The bus system in Rome is amazing and it is very easy to get around to all the tourist areas from this location. It was perfect...

GREAT place to stay! Alex and Phil were so nice and helpful, and we had a great big breakfast every morning with eggs, toast, croissants, tea, fruit, yogurt etc. The hotel is right next to the bus stops that take you anywhere around the city. The neighborhood is quiet but fun - it has a lot of nice restaurants and...

Staying in Monteverde

Neighbourhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
