Stayed here for a week last summer before heading down to The Amalfi coast. Thoroughly enjoyed out time at the hotel. Very old hotel of-course but loads of charm as a result. Nice breakfast each day too so happy to recommend.

For a simple but quiet and comfortable hotel in the centre of Rome, this could be hard to beat. Just off the Campo de' Fiori and built on the ruins of the theatre where Julius Caesar was murdered, the hotel is efficiently run, is kept nice and clean, offers a decent standard breakfast each morning and is so well located....

Our usual delight at being in Rome was already dampened when we were directed to the windowless room barely meters from the from desk and told there was no alternative. Oh well we said all the more reason to spend as much time outside as possible and as little within earshot of the glum receptionist. On our return we discovered...

This hotel was less expensive than those near it but I cannot believe that the others were of higher quality. On all counts - service, cleanliness, amenities - the Teatro di Pompeo was excellent. The location, just off the Campo de Fiore, was perfect for the nine days we were in Rome. We ate at four different good restaurants housed in...

We booked a three night stay here from 8-10 December 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our nights there and our interactions with the staff. Our flight into Rome and transition through customs put us at the hotel 90 minutes before authorized check-in but the front desk let us check-in which allowed us to get a little rest before heading out to...

In a great spot on a back street behind Campo di Fiori market place. We had Room no.10, just behind the reception on the ground floor with windows overlooking the inside atrium. Was spotlessly clean, beds were slightly hard, but I like that Bathroom was small in an "L" shape, but that fitted in a bidet & shower. Towels good...

Overall was a good experience. The rooms could use some serious deep cleaning but were generally fine. Would go there again but may not be first choice. There are great things to see in the area and the staff was generally friendly and helpful.

We booked this hotel prior to taking a Rick Steves tour starting in Rome. When we arrived, we were told we were already booked at the hotel the tour was starting at. We went back to the Teatro and explained our situation. The hotel manager told us we would have to pay for both days--no exceptions. They do have a...

The hotel was clean, comfortable and was centrally placed. The breakfast was good and served in the historic basement of the Theatre of Pompey. Staff were polite and helpful. I would certainly choose to return and recommend to anyone not wedded to the standard purpose built and impersonal hotels.

We stayed at this hotel in 1995 and again in October, 2016. It was a very good value. Our big disappointment is that they now have an annex and we were put there. It was across the street and we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. That is tough to do with suitcases as they are old sometimes...
