The hotel is close to the Spanish steps and on the famous Via Veneto. Initially, we were upgraded to a suite but we were supposed to be in a renovated room (the original room had a mold problem in the bathroom). They put us in a renovated room which was smaller but the bathroom was updated. The staff was wonderful,... More

This hotel was great as it was quite easy to find in a good central location in Rome, just 5-10 minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff were happy to help answer any questions we had about things to do/see in Rome. They were knowledgeable and could direct us to attractions. Our room... More

Our second stay at this little gem. Great location, near trevi fountain, spanish steps, hop on hop off tourist bus and metro at the corner. Staff is wonderful. Rooms are nice but nothing extravagant. But that's OK - you're in Rome - you are going there to sleep after a long day. Our friends also loved it. Will definitely be... More

We stayed in Hotel Alexandra for 7 nights. The rooms are outdated but spacious and clean. Breakfast was decent with plenty to choose from. Great location, only minutes away from all the atractions Rome has to offer. Close to Fontana di Trevi - only 10 min. walk.

My wife chose this Hotel as it was close to all the visits we wanted to do. Everything about this 3 star hotel was excellent. We have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels and I have to admit this one had the most comfortable bed I have slept in whilst travelling. The hotel is situated close to Barberini Piazza... More

From the moment of checking in the management and staff have been fantastic. Our room initially had an external issue of noise beyond the hotels control but we were immediately and with out fuss moved to another room which was larger and with a bath :-). Plenty of hot water with excellent pressure. Yes the breakfast is different but if... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
