Casa Howard, Via Sistina: To be honest, I was rather apprehensive abt stayin here after the unflattering reviews I had read. However, my Husband and I chose to press ahead since they had already helped us prebooked the visit & guided tour to Galleria Borghese and the Enjoy Rome Vatican Walking tour (by the way, we really enjoyed both and...

The best part about this charming little guest house is the the innkeeper, Edwardo! He was so very pleasant and helpful to us. We stayed in the American Cousin's room. The beds are advertised as King Size but be aware that European King size is a shorter version of the King size we are accustomed to in America. Also, the...

Having lived in Italy and stayed in Rome on a number of occassions, I'm pretty familiar with the general standard of Italian hotels... and by those standards we found Casa Howard Capo le Case distinctly AVERAGE for the price it charges. There are no amenities.. It's like a 4 room flat converted into a hotel with no comunal parts and...

Casa Howard, via Sistena, Rome is a delightfully charming personalised boutique hotel with an abundance of integrity, allure and elegance. With only a select number of guest rooms most with en-suite bathrooms and unique décor, it is a tranquil relaxing environment, in pleasant contrast to the hustle and bustle of the nearby Spanish steps. The hotel is well managed and...

I am not sure where to begin...Let me start with the positives. Obviously, the location is excellent. Use of the computer right outside our room also was quite nice. Other than that, everything else was down hill. To begin with, when we arrived, we were "greeted" by a huge pile of trash on the left hand side of the foyer....

I was more than disappointed in the Casa Howard on the Via Sistina in Rome. My Indian room was miniscule, dark and depressing, despite the bright yellow walls. The small frosted window in the bathroom opened to a brick wall. Many nights were stuffy and hot and there was no air conditioning. The promised 42 inch plasma screen was a...

The Indian Room at Casa Howard had (from April 3 to April 18, 2006) no space, no air (nor air conditioning), no light (it was supposed to be a "bright room"), no promised "flat screen" TV, no telephone and an erratic wi-fi service (it didn't function for four full days). I certainly wouldn't consider it large enough to be a...

We had a fabulous stay at Casa Howard in Oct 05, enjoying both the Flower Room and the American Cousin Room. Both were beautifully furnished and presented. The sound insulation was amazing - with the windows shut, there was no noise from the street below. The widescreen tv in the American Cousin room was fantastic. The hotel has an amazing...

This place sounds fantastic - character, location, service. The location was good - we walked virtually everywhere - but "character" consisted of a tiny room (albeit an attractively decorated tiny room) with no sound insulation, a broken shower in the sauna (or should I say "hammam" - I guess the exotic name justifies the charge of EURO 50 for 20...

Stay at casa howard december 2005. Wonderful location (may be the best location in Rome 20 m from spanish steps). Our pink room excellent. The green room nicer (if possible). Cristine the best. If you like to have your own house in Rome, choose one of the five rooms at capo le case. We will sure come back. Paul

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
