We had a great stay at hotel Quirinale! I didn't know but my boyfriend contacted the hotel to organise a proposal and Diana and her team did an amazing job. Check in staff were efficient and polite, our room (533) was exceptionally clean, comfortable with quite a large bathroom. Breakfast was served in the restaurant area with a lot of... More

I just returned from a trip to Rome and really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Quirinale. It has great location, an easy 10-15 minute walk from Termini station with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. It's also a quick walk to most of the main sites. It's about a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum and... More

The hotel has an excellent location, in the middle of Rome and close to busy streets. Great for getting around, but terrible when trying to sleep at night, since the room was incredibly noisy. When I first got to the room, it was like an oven. The hotel has no air conditioning, and central heating kicks in whenever you leave... More

I booked and paid in advance through Expedia for about 3 weeks of stay at this hotel, which advertised itself as a grand and reasonably upper end one, though not 5-star of course. But within a couple of days I became quite disappointed with the level of service, starting with the same boringly pathetic, unchanging, daily breakfast offerings. (I've stayed... More

We booked a small double room - Small is the operative word but I think most rome rooms tend to be quite small. The first thing we notice on entering the room was the intense heat - it hit you the moment you walked in. The room opened onto a tiny space outside - so there was no air able... More

Staff was very friendly and hotel was beautiful though needed renovation. Room service worked excellently. Breakfast was tasty and there was a lovely inner yard. Superior room, where we lived, was rather large. The room had doors to the adjoining rooms which was odd because of lack of soundproofing.

I highly recommend the Hotel Quirinale for its spacious Jr. Suite and Center City location. Easy walk to EuroRail and city Metro. Excellent local shopping. Delicious daily breakfast buffet overlooking the beautiful hotel garden. Friendly hotel staff made travel to Rome inviting.

I could not really fault this hotel for the price - c. 100 euros per night for a double room. It is a traditionally elegant Roman style hotel with fairly large and well furnished standard rooms. It's in a good location and all the main sights in the historic centre of Rome are within reasonable walking distance.

The room we received had a very very small shower and immobile shower head, we went downstairs and asked for a room with bathtub/shower combo and the receptionist was very accommodating and switched our rooms the next morning. The new room had a rain shower and a hand shower + bathtub. The room and bathroom was of decent size however... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
