We stayed for almost a week in May, after a month of travelling in other parts. We had stayed at Hotel Oxford once before (11 years ago) and knew why we chose it again. We were right. Hotel Oxford is very well presented, modern, with very comfortable rooms (and very well serviced), a welcoming bar area and breakfast room. Very...

The rooms at the hotel are all different shapes and sizes. Our room could not have been further away, On the second floor and through several twists and turns of corridors having said that the room was good. The bathroom had a step in the middle of the room and the shower was on the side wall, not above the...

Our stay at hotel oxford was indeed fantastic from start to finish! From the airport it was simple to get the train to termini and walk to the hotel, it's about a 10-15 minute walk but when you are looking around at the wonderful sites that just doesn't notice. Then when arriving at check in whilst we were handling the...

Myself and my partner stayed 3 nights at Hotel Oxford and we couldn't have been happier. We found out own way to the hotel from the airport, catching the train to the termini. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere, Spanish Steps, Tevi fountain, The Termini and even the Colosseum!. The staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome....

Just what you'd expect for the price. Hotel staff were friendly and more than helpful. Our room was small but clean and tidy with good air conditioning, a comfortable bed and towels changed everyday. The breakfast area was also small but with plenty of variety to choose from. The hotel is situated on a nice quiet street with buses to...

My wife embarked on our first trip to Rome for an early anniversary present. The hotel we stayed in has had mainly positive reviews, so we thought why not. On arrival, we were impressed immediately with the reception and downstairs lobby, as well as the warm, friendly welcome we received from the staff. They were quick to check us in...

Small rooms but tidy and helpful staff easy enough to get taxis everywhere and walking distance to Spanish steps. The ladies at breakfast were lovely and really efficient. I found catching a taxi reasonable and cheap to most places.

We stayed 3 nights at hotel. It is located about 5 km from Vatican and a bit closer to Forum. Not too bad but quite a walk. There are buses but we haven't tried them. Rooms are clean but very basic. wi-fi is free bu slow and unreliable at times. Breakfast had night selection on first morning but then on...

If the likes of the Savoy or the Ritz are too much for you; if all you want is a clean, nice hotel in a safe part of town; or if you need comfort but not luxury, then the Oxford Hotel is the right choice for you. The Oxford shows you can have a lovely sojourn in Rome without busting...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
