This hotel is located near the central station of Rome (Termini) so if you're planning a day trip to Naples or some other cities like Florence and Milan then Scott House Hotel is just the place for you. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast is alright but it's basically the same every day.

Nice, but small room. Bed is a little short for tall people. Breakfast was okay, enough choice and good coffee. Staff was good. Hotel is on the 4th and 5th floor, with a tiny elevator. The good thing about the high floor is you don't hear the street if the windows are closed Just 1 minute walk to termini, for...

Basic economical option for Rome. Extremely convenient for a short stay: 2 blocks from Termini Station, and an easy walk to the Colosseum and other historical sights (1 km max). Hotel is actually 4th and 5th floors of a multistory building (each hotel taking 1-2 floors) accessible via a tiny elevator. Staff was very friendly, stored our bags, spoke English...

I booked this hotel through a well known website with no cancellation option. Within two hours I realized I booked one night later than I wanted. But the night before was fully booked. The website called the hotel (within 2-3 hours!) to ask for a waiver of the cancellation fee (the full price of one night). The hotel could not...

The location of the hotel was great, right next to railway station and in a walking distance of Colosseum. Personel was warm and nice. Breakfast was ok. Room was clean and cleaned every day. Biggest challenge was the small and slow elevator to the hotel in fifth floor.

Affordable hotel they charged me €110 per night. They checked me into the terrace room very large. It has 2 single and 1 twin beds. I rate this hotel 3 because if you have heavy luggages you need to carry it on the stairs. Also the Internet was to slow.

We booked three rooms in this hotel for one night. We needed a place in Rome to stay before our flight home. We chose this place because it was close to Termini and breakfast was included. Rooms were clean and everything was in good working condition. But rooms were small, I would find it hard to stay longer there.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
