This is my second visit to the Hotel Duca D’Alba, and I plan to stay again during a future visit in Rome. The staff are all professional, attentive, and go out of their way to assist visitors and exploring the best of Rome. The front desk clerk, Angelo, was especially helpful during our five day visit at the hotel. Located in the neighborhood of Monti, The Duca D’Alba is walking distance from all the principal attractions of central Rome: The Colosseum and Roman forum, the Capitolino hill and museums, the Quirinale, principal shopping, etc. The breakfasts are also very good and substantial. Finally it has a quaint ease about its location which is absolutely charming: unlike many major hotels in Rome, It is located on a small cobblestone road that is populated by restaurants, bars, small shops, and lots of great easy nightlife.…
This was my first ever solo trip, I chose Rome for its culture and this hotel was perfect, the lady on reception who checked me in was very friendly, gave me lots of information, a map and highlighted the best things to see, where to shop and how to use all the public transport. The location is amazing, everything is well within walking distance especially the colosseum, Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. But for those of you who wouldn’t want to walk the nearest metro is just 5 mins away. The room was cosy, some might complain a little on the small side but for me it was lovely, cosy and warm with air con and a very nice shower with great water pressure. The breakfast was varied with something for everyone in a stunning room. Very satisfied with my stay and with everything, nothing was too much for the staff and they were all very friendly and super helpful …
Stopped at the Duka d’Alba 6th,7th and 8th February 2020 before going on a cruise. Airport to hotel was approx 35-45 minutes, the hotel looked as if it had been newly decorated. Our room was small and compact but fitted in a TV, mini bar etc. A Very modern and well fitted out shower room. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts (included), varied from cold meats, salads, cereals, fresh fruit, plus eggs and bacon etc,, something for everybody. Location was very good, at the end of the hotel’s road (60yds approx) you get a view of the colosseum, 10 - 12 minute walk. You can also get an evening meal but choice is limited to four items, however there is a nice little Resturant next door frequented by locals, we ate here for two nights in a row. Anybody looking for a central and reasonably priced hotel would be advised to give it a try,…
Great place to stay for a couple in Rome. Perfectly located and within easy reach of many attractions, bars and restaurants. Room was immaculately clean and well presented. Not overly big but a perfect retreat after a day sight seeing and our room was very quiet. Staff are very helpful and polite and spoke perfect English. Lots of variety at breakfast. No tea or coffee in the room but it’s readily available and free in the bar. Area is full of great local restaurants which are a lot cheaper than in the tourist areas. There is a Metro station 500 yards away and it’s only 1 stop to the main terminal. We spent 3 nights here and it’s well recommended and we would definitely stay here again.
Best location, you can easily walk to all the sights. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There are so many great restaurants next to the hotel. The hotel is also in walking distance from Roma Termini train station.
