Dear Mr. Stephen First of all thank you for being a guest in our hotel and for taking the time to write a review, however positive, about our position and our staff. Even if all opinions are appreciated we must point out a few things: 1)The rooms vary in size and, of course, the standard is smaller than the superior....

Centrally located and has many restaurants around. It is just few minutes walk from Roma Termini where you can take the trains and buses going to Fiumicino and Ciampino. But, the best asset of this hotel is the awesome staffs who will take care of you and especially the receptionist, he even gave us the instructions in going to attractions...

I have stayed here 3 times before this visit and have always enjoyed this hotel. There is a flight of stairs up to the hotel reception but I am sure if you ask them they will have your cases carried up for you. The staff are all lovely, happy and friendly. They will recommend restaurants around Rome for you and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lirico. Great location - next to Opera house and many good restaurants, walking distance to Termini and Republic metro stations. Very helpful staff, large continental breakfasts (hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruits, cereals, cheese and meats, wonderful breads, good coffees and teas...), quaint clean room...it was beyond our expectations for the price. Note, you do...

Hotel was cute, quiet. Everyone was nice, Tony was a joy! Always ready with a smile and a recommendation. Breakfast was continental and plenty to eat. Be advised that it is 25 steps up to get to the lobby. I do not believe there was a lift for that part. But once you are in the lobby there is a...

For the most of it, is a good hotel. Let's start work the advantages, its location is excellent (700mts from central station, less than 500mts from a subway station, around 1.5km walking distance from most sites), the staff is very friendly, bathrooms look renovated and its clean, though little bit old. For the cons, the biggest one is the huge...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
