First thing they charged us 150 $ at the end of our six day stay as city tax so keep that in mind. Starting everyday with a buffet breakfast was a good spread. The room was a bit dated a;though the toilet was all marble. Needs a bit of update. The view from the room was good as we could...

We stayed at Genova Hotel for 5 nights. Excellent location with minutes away from Termini station and also with many good and affordable restaurants nearby. It is also about 15mins walking time to Colosseum. The staff are generally helpful and friendly.

The receptionist of the hotel charged me BOTH by cash and credit card because of their mistake. It's totally a terrible experience. I reflected this matter to the hotel over 2 months ago, but they haven't give me the refund yet. It's such a shame for them to be a 4-star hotel like this. I absolutely regret that choosing this...

They also let us leave our extra luggages in their storage room for few days upon our request. All hotel staff at reception were friendly and helpful and even...

Stayed here after terrible experience at Hotel Ivanhoe. What a nice hotel. Room was good and comfortable, staff helpful ( like Ivanhoe) - all in all recommended. Did not eat in restaurant for dinner but breakfast good..

I had to visit Rome for affairs and needed to be near the Central Railway Station. The hotel is superbly located, very central and convenient. This is about all the positive I have to say. Overall the building and rooms look completely outdated; feels like a time travel to the 70'. Staff quite apatic, not much welcome. Slow check in....

We loved the room, it was spacious and very beautiful. There are many restaurants within walking distance and the main hub and for public transportation is just two blocks away. The breakfast was rather delicious and most of the staff is polite. There are some downfalls, you should pack your own washcloths, you will not get one here in fact...

I have stayed at the Hotel Genova at least 5 times. It is a very clean hotel. I do agree that the breakfast needs a complete overall, being a 4 Star Hotel. The hot food menu is very poor. Bacon needs to be cooked well, and put onto paper towel, to drain all the fat/ oil..The rest of the buffet...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
