Just returned from a stay here. Couldn't be in a better position short walk from Colosseum, Spanish steps and right around the corner from the trevi fountain! Taxi rank just around the corner which we used to get to the Vatican early hours, costing around €10. Loads of places to eat nearby.
Hotel staff are very friendly. Beds made and towels replenished daily.
We paid for the superior room which in my opinion wasn't worth it. Room was small and on 5th floor where breakfast is served, we were woken up each morning by the breakfast setting up. I'm not a light sleeper so it was loud.
Room had a lovely big balcony which we didn't use as we were out alot and it just looked onto the building across the road.
For what we used of it, it wasn't worth the upgrade.
Would stay here again. Hotel is in prime location!

We were met at the airport by a very smart driver and taxi that Alessandra from the Hotel had arranged. The first night, Saturday, our room was clean and comfortable, but not modern. Alessandra moved us for the remaining stay to a modernised room which was small, but again clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, not a huge choice, two cereals for example, however the eggs were freshly cooked and there were lovely pastries. It was very pleasant to sit on the top floor looking out over Rome. Alessandra booked two restaurants for us, both of which were a short walk from the Hotel and we had two enjoyable and not expensive meals considering we were in the heart of the city and the quality of the food. The Hotel is in a very good position with access to train stations and within walking distance of most of the attractions. The staff were all helpful and polite. We asked for our beds to be separted when we arrived and by the time we came back from dinner this had been done without fuss on a Saturday night. We also requested more teabags which arrived within 10 minutes. Considering this is not a 5 Star Hotel we found the service excellent. We would certainly recommend this Hotel to friends.

We highly recommend Hotel Tritone. We were first-timers to Rome and read that the Trevi area was a good place to stay. Hotel Tritone is close to Trevi Fountain and in an area with many shops and restaurants. It's a short walk to the Barberini subway station and walkable to other sites like the Altar of the Fatherlands. There is a tiny lift which is convenient for getting your bags, and body, to the upper floors.
We reserved the one room with a balcony which we enjoyed immensely for the expanded space. The room also had a small kitchenette but we didn't use it however there is a market located close to the hotel.
Breakfast was plentiful and had lots of options, all served in the pleasant room with windows that overlook rooftops in the area.
Overall, Hotel Tritone is a great value and we would stay there again.

We are 3 adults, 2 average size, 1 plus size in a triple standard room
Pros:
*friendly staff
*clean room
Cons:
*tiny bathroom
*when sitting on toilet a wall hits the hip
*the shower doesn’t easily fit an average size person, with it impossible to squat or bed over for toiletries; doesn’t fit a plus size person
*small gap between bathroom sink and door
*limited plugs in room. Only open plug is across from foot of bed or in the bathroom
*ac functions but not well. It is 94 (34) outside and probably 80 (27) inside
*twin bed feels like laying on a trampoline
*phone cord had to be held in place to call the front desk

The location of this hotel is amazing, walking distance to all important monuments and attractions. Less than 4 minute walk to Trevi Fountain and right in the heart of shopping district. Our room was quiet large and very clean. I am recommending all my friends and family to stay at this hotel since the location was great and they offered a good breakfast that was geared more for North American travelers.

We stayed for 4 nights at the hotel in a family room where we could have up to 4 adults. The room was nice and staying 4 in a room made it very affordable. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town, 2 minutes from the Trevi Fountain and very close to other attractions such as the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. There is a subway station 8 minutes away by foot that will take you directly to the Train Station and to the Vatican Museum. The hotel is next to pedestrian streets, but in front of the hotel the street does have cars and buses where you can catch a taxi o a bus nearby. The rooms are nice and the breakfast was also good. The staff was also very nice and friendly. Being so close to the Trevi Fountain, you can take a quick peak before breakfast and get a great picture with hardly anybody there. The rest of the day it is always very crowded.

Room was small but fine, no view except a wall across from us. Lovely varied breakfast in a nice 5th floor room with views. Very convenient location for sightseeing although proximity to the Trevi fountain isn't really a plus at the moment while it is under maintenance. 3 different men worked on reception while we stayed for 4 nights and they were all very helpful and friendly, gave us food recommendations etc. We paid quite a bit for the room and that is why we knocked off a star. The prices they charge can go very high and it doesn't seem worth it. Definitely a great place to stay if you get a good deal on the price but when we stayed it was going in the region of €250-400 per night and I really don't think I'd pay that again given the standard of the room.

I’m going to start with the positives, the staff were brilliant. They were so friendly and helpful. They are a credit to the hotel.
The hotel is in one of the best locations to explore the entire city on foot, which we did over the course of a numbers of days.
The hotel was cheap, but as they say, you get what you pay for.
Unfortunately, the positives stop there.
We were given a room on the second floor which can only be described as shabby and rundown.
The curtains were thin and falling down and didn’t stop the light getting in.
When you emptied the bathroom sink it pushed an odd black gunge up into the bidet and vice versa - gross!
The enamel in the bath was all chipped.
The walls were in a terrible state in the room all chipped and marked, as was the wood work.
The carpet was filthy.
The room was genuinely just unclean and run down. Luckily we spent very little time in there.
We didn’t bother with breakfast due to the state of the room, so can’t review that.
I would only ever stay at this hotel if it had a full refurbishment.

So close to the Trevi fountain and great places to eat that are open late such as Pane e Salame, Pompi, Lucciano's and my all time favorite Hostería La Scalinata.
Very easy to navigate from here as you are on a major street Via Tritone and close to another major one Via Corso.
Staff are generally helpful and welcoming. Can't remember the name, but one front desk receptionist who has a young kid was especially helpful of us in moving around with a young one. The breakfast staff and porters were also very helpful.
Rooms are comfortable although the lights can get confusing and the radio built in was more annoying than helpful. Small bathroom as usual for older buildings.

We recently stayed at the hotel Tritone and it was the perfect location. It is central to everything for walking between places but also has bus stops & metro just up the road in Barberini square. There are lots of restaurants and shops on the doorstep with the Trevi Fountain literally just round the corner. The hotel was lovely, spotlessly clean and the staff helpful. We had a superior room which was nicely decorated and plenty big enough- let’s face it you will not be spending much time in the room 😁 We opted for breakfast each day which was worth having - a good choice of options in a nice setting to set you up for your day. Thank you Hotel Tritone - I would definitely stay again.

Dear WharfRatt,
thank you so much for contacting us: it is a pleasure to know that somebody is thinking to come to Rome in this strange period...
Junior Suites do not have bathtubs, just showers.
Just an idea: have a check on our wonderful four-stars hotel "White Hotel", a few metres form the Trevi Fountain as well ( go on the official website ).
White Hotel has wonderful rooms with bathtube. In case you like it ( we do hope so!), write to us, to get the best rate ever !
WE are looking forward to meeting you in person.
Kindest regards
M. Mancusi - GM
Yes, there was a TV room beside reception that my daughter's carriage was put there overtime when we didn't need.
We took a taxi.if you take the train you get to the stazioni and then you can take a taxi or a bus.for us the best solution was a taxi
Dear NYTravelG,
Taxi drivers are the same all around the world. Bear in mind that we can organize a private pick up transfer for you from the airport. Driver will wait for you, passed over custom, holding a sign with your name. A minivan, suitable five persons and lugguage, costs 68.00 euros, and after 19:00hrs 73.00 euros. If you want to book it, please inform us your flight details by nail.
Best regards.
Elena Albanese
