Great location, good breakfast, very nice rooms and friendly staff. We booked a deluxe room for 88 Euros per night inkl. Breakfast. Very good price for what you get. Room had a balcony and the place is close to Termini. I would book it again.

We are frequent travelers to Rome and have stayed in many diverse hotels and this is one of the best regarding a combination of comfort, amenities, location and price. It is located in a quiet area near the main University close to public transportation. A 7 minute walk gets you to the main train station (termini) and plenty of cabs....

After staying in London, Scotland, and several locations in Italy, were were surprised that this was one of the nicest rooms we had on the entire trip. Large room and bath. Fine wood trim, art, etc. A painting on the wall was actually a wall safe! Room was very clean. Lobby and dining area were very pleasant as well. We...

We have stayed in several different hotels in Rome throughout the past years. This is the best hotel for the price. Good location, walking distance to train station, good restaurants, helpful staff. The rooms are larger than most in Rome. Quiet area. Highly recommended.

We could not have had a better place to stay while in Rome. This hotel was in good walking distance from the train and bus terminal and in a quiet location from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is also in the same street of restaurants that had great eats. They staff were more than helpful with all of our...

Booked jan1 and rebooked jan2-6...awesome hotel. We were welcomed by a tall receptionist man and woman joking along, offered candies while checking in to remove our tiredness from travel! Check in was fast and happy! Elevator was amusing ... screen doors and steel bars wow! The room was a roman inspired country style thick curtains bedding paintings...rustic style! Wide screen...

We stayed here for one night before flying back to New Zealand. The room we had was huge and beautifully furnished with what appeared to be antique furniture. The enormous bed was very comfortable and the room and well appointed bathroom were very clean. The hotel had a an old fashioned lift with a double gate you had to open...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
