In an elegant historic building in the centre of Rome, the Hotel Canada represents the outcome of Hoteliers' generations experience. It shows the ancient tradition of hospitality that renews itself every day. A recent refurbishment has rediscovered the original architecture of the building. It was constructed in 1870 in order to provide accommodation for officers from the nearby barracks of Castro Pretorio. The Hotel Canada is easily reachable from "Termini Station" (500 m), the most important station of the Eternal City and the main rail yard of Italy. This Station is well connected with both airports of Rome: Roma Leonardo da Vinci/ Fiumicino and Roma Ciampino. The Hotel Canada is located in an ideal spot to visit the very historic centre of Rome. It is close to the subway (Line B, Castro Pretorio's stop) that allows every guest to reach the downtown in just a few minutes.

We had a good experience at Hotel Canada. The hotel is close to Termini station so great for getting to and from the Airport (and also getting around Rome). There is also good restaurants nearby and convenience stores too.
We stayed in room 112 which was a corner room so there is a bit of noise from the streets (bring earplugs just in case). The room was adequate and beds were comfortable.
The breakfast has a wide range of options and pastries and you can order coffee how you like it and they will make it for you in a barista's espresso machine.
There is a water dispenser in the lobby area so you can refill your bottle with still or sparkling water for free.
They do have a rule where you return your key to the reception desk when you go out (and request it when returning). It's not a huge thing but something to be aware of.

The Pension's location and accessibility is perfect: close to Termini station, bus stops and metro.
I enjoyed the decoration and style of the Pension with some touches of modernity (the elevator). The cleaning in the room is impeccable and the air conditioning works very well in this period of big heat in Rome.
The staff is friendly and professional. I appreciate that the staff recognize their guests and don't have to identify themselves every time to retrieve the key to their room after a day of visiting. All this with a smile, professionalism and a real sense of Italian hospitality.:-)
Breakfast is great for this type of Pension: delicious food, coffee on demand, very nice dishes and helpful staff.
I would return with great pleasure for a future visit to Rome.

I stayed at the Hotel Canada at the beginning of November 2023. I had already stayed at the hotel in the past and I really enjoyed it; also on this occasion I was able to reconfirm my positive opinion. The cleanliness of the room and the common areas was truly excellent, clean and cared for down to the smallest detail, I did not find even a fragment of dust (a sign of correct and thorough cleaning). The superlative breakfast, further improved compared to the past with a vast assortment of artisanal products of excellent quality and freshness. The hotel staff proved to be friendly and professional, ready to satisfy every request, which made the stay pleasant. The room that was assigned to me was really to my liking and taste; very refined and relaxing style, excellent sleep quality thanks to excellent soundproofing; despite it facing a very busy street. The bathroom is also very well looked after with a bathtub which I personally prefer much more than a shower. During my overnight stay, I was informed several times that renovation works were underway on the lift, which however had no repercussions on my stay, as I still had the possibility of using another very beautiful and evocative historic lift. I will definitely return to stay at the Hotel Canada for my next trips and events in the eternal city

If your scrolling for a Hotel in Rome , Stop right Here. This is the place , about 3 blocks from Rome train terminal, buses inside Rome , and to outlaying cities in Italy , are right there , yet the hotel is in a lovely neighbourhood. It’s a Modern Hotel that feels like home , Clean , well kept , with an exceptional staff , Arber at the front desk was wonderful, Emanuelle the lovely lady manager was also so helpful . The water cooler in the lobby was great , filling up our water bottle with soda or water . The room was amazing , we were upgraded to a junior suite ( never happens to us ) the painted ceiling was a artistic Masterpiece, the room was 5 star , close to everything, You have the pick of all the restaurants in the area . Breakfast was a good buffet , for 9 euro each , 24 to 48 hour transportation passes available at the train terminal , which is also close to the Metro , We fell in love with Rome , and Hotel Canada , we will be back

We stayed here for three nights in October and we were not disappointed. Great location only a 5min walk from the Termini. The hotel staff were all very friendly and attentive throughout our stay making us feel welcome and able to answer any questions we had. We had a junior suite which was well equipped with a Nespresso machine and kettle, coffee pods and tea bags that were replenished daily along with the room being cleaned. The room also had a small fridge which had free still and sparkling water on arrival. On the ground floor behind reception/bar there is a water cooler where you can refill water bottles before heading out for the day. Once out there are water fountains throughout Rome where again you can refill bottles. We had breakfast included but well worth adding if not. Around the corner from the hotel is the Metro Castro Pretorio. From here it’s only one stop to the Termini or 3 stops (4mins) to the Colosseum or change onto the Red line at the Termini and it’s 14min to the Spanish Steps or 20mins to Cipro at the Vatican. There are a few restaurants around the hotel. We ate in the Stradaromana just across from the hotel on the first night and had a nice meal. All in all we had an amazing stay in Rome and the Hotel Canada was an excellent base away from all the crowds so as to have a quiet night, with a great bar for a night cap.

A 3 star hotel that deserves more. Attentive and courteous welcome, which is expressed in thoughtful gestures and an eye for customers with specific needs, for whom we always try to find the best solution to guarantee a pleasant stay. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet rooms, equipped with a welcome kit that is difficult to find even in 4-star hotels. Breakfast definitely out of the ordinary, with fresh and quality products (try the omelettes and savory pies that are cooked daily). I have been frequenting the hotel for two years and continue to choose it for its strategic location - near Rome Termini station - and for all the features that make it unbeatable in terms of quality-price ratio.

This hotel is located about 10 minutes' walk from Termini station and steps from the metro station Castro Pretorio. The room was not very new, but it was nicely maintained and spacious enough. The bathroom was OK. The free wifi was not very fast, but acceptable for a European hotel. The A/C was weak, but after a while it cooled the room enough. The breakfast buffet was extra at 9 euros per person. The food was delicious and the selection changed every day. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was a good value for the money. Its location and value make it one of my favorites.

I absolutely loved this hotel when I entered for the first time. The receptionist welcomed us warmly. The fantastic room with an equally good scent especially in the wardrobe equipped with kettle, shoe horn and shoe cleaning cloth. In the bathroom we found complimentary products from cream to toothbrush and toothpaste, from conditioner to intimate soap which is sometimes rare to find in facilities and slippers. As read in the various reviews, there was no mini bar in our room but personally I didn't feel the need for it even though it was early August. Renovations were underway on the upper floors but they started at 10am so we weren't disturbed at all. Good breakfast, croissants and croissants of unique goodness and of various types, presence of sweet and savory breakfast. The dining room staff like all the others were very nice and kind. Perfect location, the metro is around the corner, very quiet area. The thing that I will remember with most pleasure, in addition to everything else, is the perfume in the hall as soon as you entered the entrance, no matter what time you came back there was this fantastic perfume that accompanies you to the room. Overall, a more than positive stay, which I hope to renew next year!

Hotel Canada has been managed by the same family for several generations and their staff clearly takes pride in maintaining a very high standard. I return whenever visiting Rome and always look forward to my next visit. The rooms are comfortable, kept sparkling clean and freshly decorated. The breakfast provided in a beautiful, light filled dining room exceeds expectations. During my recent visit two new lifts were being installed, without the slightest disruption to normal hotel services. The bedroom overlooking a central court was absolutely quiet, with bird song heard through the open window in the mornings. This hotel is in a quiet, pleasant area with restaurants and a convenience store in the lower floor of Termini station which is seven minutes walk away.

This was one of our favorite accommodations from our two week trip across Italy! Firstly, the lobby and rooms give an amazing old world atmosphere with the ceiling paintings and classy furnishings met with top notch cleanliness. The staff was very nice and helpful throughout the stay. The bar has very reasonably priced offerings and the breakfast (although an additional charge) also had great variety and staff providing speciality coffee options to guests, so in our opinion it was well worth the small charge. Secondly, the location is very practical. It is close (~5 min walk) to the train station which provided great ease getting in and out of town (it made a day trip to Naples very feasible). It is also about a block from a metro stop which allowed us to easily get around to all the major sights in Rome (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps & Vatican). I would highly recommend this spot, especially to couples looking for a place with a slightly more romantic feel!

The subway/railway line runs between Fluminco airport and Rome Termini Station (main train station). From there it is about a 3 block walk to the hotel.
Da Vinci Express is ~€12 per person then you are about 5 blocks away and will need subway passes or a taxi. Don't haul your bags like we did. Subway has options and will drop you off in view of the hotel but it takes 4 passes, taxi is about €10-15. The concierge offered us a limo for €75, but tip may be expected. For the simplicity, I'd probably go taxi/limo with 4.
There are more places to choose from in the Rome area.
