Fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting. Room was amazing very spacious with large bathroom and cleaned everyday. Amazing roof terrace with stunning views where we had complimentary drinks from the wonderful staff. Breakfast is plentiful good variety with options of a cooked breakfast if preferred, what can I say about the staff, well I have stayed many hotels around the... More

We were a party of 7 in three rooms for one night before a RC Harmony of the Seas cruise to Barcelona and trans Atlantic to Ft. Lauderdale. We were delighted with our stay. One couple arrived early after two weeks in Europe and needed laundry facilities. The front desk called a cab, wrote the name/address of someplace to wash/dry... More

I really have to wonder where some of the other (negative) reviewers have stayed in their European travels. I thought the price was very reasonable, for a place built in 1787? it was in fine condition, and our spacious room had, for old Europe, a very decent sized bathroom. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace was... More

We absolutely loved that we booked this hotel without any prior knowledge of Rome! First of all, Tomasso at the front desk is phenomenal and a living book of knowledge about a city he loves! We were able to walk to the right about 8 minutes to Trevi fountain, then 12 minutes to the Spanish Steps. If you turn left... More

First, the positives: 1) Its location is perfect, as many other reviewers have mentioned. It is exactly where we wanted to be as first-time visitors to Rome. 2) The room was large with a comfortable bed. Now, the negatives: 1) The shower stall was tiny and somewhat moldy. I am small and had trouble maneuvering in it. 2) The room... More

Cesari is the best hotel in Rome. Great staff that makes you feel at home. Great location and so convenient to everything. Old school European charm rooms that are clean. Finally, the rooftop terrançe and breakfast is so worth staying here. Well done Cesari!

In the heart of Rome, just near the Pantheon, this hotel is ideally located. However, being in the heart of the city, the narrow streets surrounding the hotel are noisy. We were aware that this was the case so we booked 11 months in advance with a request for a quiet room, located at the back of the hotel and... More

We stayed here in Sept 2016 for 3 nights before a cruise. The hotel is located 1/4 mile from the Pantheon in one direction and a 1/4 mile from the Trevi Fountain in the other direction. If you are looking for a central location that allows you to walk to most everything this is the perfect hotel. We walked to... More

4 nights here. The hotel is right in the thick of the action but very quiet. Nice continental breakfast on the rooftop 5th floor. That patio area also serves as the bar at night, lovely. Rooms are typically small for Europe but comfortable. Too bad that they don't have a larger lobby area.

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
