Very pretty, good location, can walk to most places. Far from Vatican. Concierge is great for restaurant recommendations. Rooms lovely but small which is standard for Rome. Stayed here as a Starwood guest. Not sure if I would return if not using starwood points. Spa was great because it was open til 10p!

Dear Guest, We thank you for your review and for your appreciation. Indeed, the St. Regis, Rome has a strategic location; a most convenient taxi station just stepping out of the hotel and public transportation at walking distance make it easy to reach any site of interest, including the Vatican area, in a short time. We are grateful for your...

Stayed in the St Regis recently for two nights, and I must say that I was underwhelmed. I was only able to check in at close to 4pm as the room was not ready. Not even an apology was offered, and I was horrified to find that the ground floor toilet was filthy. The room was large, bed was comfortable...

My wife and I stayed here in February 2013 and were upgraded to a Bottega Veneta suite, room with Bang & Olufsen system, were offered a bottle of champagne. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were excellent. Staff referred to us by name and always knew exactly who we were. Would highly recommend and come back...

We ended up at St. Regis after one night unfortunate stay at the Westin (broken air-conditioning in one of our two rooms, no child lock on window, bathrooms cheaply renovated in 1970's, ugly pool in a dungeon, depressing restaurant, etc.). St. Regis is amazing - beautiful clean rooms and bathrooms, unobtrusive yet efficient service, fantastic buffet breakfast, and a very...

Dear Guest, thank you from all the team for your rewarding comments. We have recently introduced a Family tradition program that includes many opportunities for the whole family; tempting menus, personalized amenities and dedicated tours to discover the city from a child perspective. Indeed, the children room, located right next to Le Grand Bar, is meant to spoil (just a...

We stayed here for one night on Friday, August 23. The staff was courteous but the look and feel of the hotel felt like a disney world version of italy. My family and I stayed at the St. Regis-Rome hotel in July of 2012. It was outstanding in every way: location, facilities, cleanliness, food, etc. The only mild complaint is that the staff seemed a bit "stuffy." As an American who lives in the South, I am used to more hospitality at 5 star hotels. It is probably just a European demeanor....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
