Second time at Morgana. Rooms are very comfortable; staff friendly and courteous; well placed just a couple of minutes from Termini station; Metro; buses; tour buses; or walking distance from attractions. Breakfast has an exceedingly wide range on offer to suit all tastes. Hotel does not have evening meal facilities but numerous excellent restaurants in immediate vicinity. A good place...

Ideally located close to main Railway Station with some very nice restaurants nearby. Professional friendly staff that were very helpful. We had a problem with our first room which when identified was readily dealt with. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from on the buffet. Word of warning the air con does not get switched until the summer season...

We stayed in Hotel Morgana for 4 nights and its a gem of a place. The location is excellent, close to the main train station, Termini, and the Metro and within walking distance of all the sights in Rome. It is very central and on a busy, and not very attractive road but don't let that put you off. We...

Extremely small room. Non-functioning airconditioning. Wireless really slow. Breakfast was almost OK. Cleaning was good. Staff pleasant and attentive. Close to Termini which was good, close to communications. Walking distance to sights as Colosseum etc.

Holtel is wonderful. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet is rich and satisfying. The staff in the breakfast room and reception were very nice. They even gave us a cake and a bottle of wine to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location of tge hotel is super. Termini station is just around the corner and even town center...

We stayed at the Morgana for one night prior to a cruise, arriving late at night, with quite a few others checking in. The gentleman on reception was very polite and courteous with all and we were checked into Room 155 in the Annexe just along the road. We were a little concerned at first, but were really pleased with...

We have just returned from a 4 day visit to Rome, staying at this hotel. We were in room 150 in the annex, which was spacious, clean and quiet - also included a bath as requested. It was a very short walk to the hotel for breakfast. The staff were very accommodating - if you want anything, just ask. Breakfast...

Currently staying here now on the second day of a seven day stay. Very early but so far impressed. A lot has been said about the area being a bit rough and I would agree it's a bit shabby in places but feels perfectly safe to us. Reminds me of parts of London, very buzzie with lots going on - I...

We chose Hotel Morgana because of its proximity to the Termini and its affordable rates. The trains are a mere 5 minutes walk away. The bus terminal is not far too. We were allowed to check in early having arrived from an 11 night cruise. While waiting for our room to be ready we were given complimentary cappuccino and snacks...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
