Overall we had a great experience at the hotel the 4 nights we stayed. Great location, very close to public transportation (metro, bus route, and hop on-off bus stop), close to train termini, spacious and clean room and bathroom, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, the concierge went the extra mile to guide us and give us directions for tourist...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your kind appreciation about some of our facilities and services. The hotel Napoleon is a family run hotel and we all work with passion to make our Guests’ stay the most pleasant. I'm sorry for the two inconveniences occurred during the stay. Anyway I wonder if you asked our staff about the early breakfast: usually...

I chose this hotel as it seemed good value & I was not disappointed. It is a charming hotel & we received a warm welcome from thoroughly professional staff. The room was small (I had a single room) though I had expected this. It was more than adequate though & very clean. There were facilities to make tea/coffee, good sized...

I don't want this review to deter people from staying here, maybe just use this feedback as you need too. I'm also writing this on our last night staying here. We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and booked the Hotel Napoleon based on the popular reviews on Trip Advisor and the close proximity to Termini and Metro. We...

This is an excellent hotel with a great location; a few blocks from Roma Termini train station, a few blocks from the Colosseum and just steps from the Underground Metro stop. The hotel staff is very friendly, very helpful and all speak very good English. My sister and I had a room with 2 double beds and it was quite...

Hotel is located within easy walking distance to the train station. Staff was very helpful for dining recommendations and helpful hints while exploring Rome. The room was quite spacious and the housekeeping staff do a fine job of keeping the room clean. All and all ,well worth the price.

Warm, Friendly and welcoming. This grande hotel is situated 15mins from the colusseum and is so close to the metro you walk out the door and the entrance is 10 meters away. Train tickets available at reception. Roberto on the front desk helped us so well with our directions and gave us the address of a fantastic gelato bar near...

Quite a nice old fashioned hotel located in a slightly seedy area beside a metro station. Helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Reasonable furnishings / carpets and generally clean. Breakfast basic. Evening meal offered only in the bar area when we were there and this was a bit crushed. Food OK but nothing special and quite expensive (exchange rate?). Best feature...

We staid in hotel Napoleon four days in the beginning of April. The location of the hotel was good, the room was tidy and the restaurant offered nice selection of meals and ice cream suitable for our 8 year old son. The personnel of the hotel was friendly. Breakfast was also very good. We can warmly recommend this hotel to...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
