This was the first time we visited Italy, new to Rome city and the hotel was superb at taking care of our needs. Superb customer service, always there to help with a smile and going beyond that extra effort to make our stay brilliant. Big thank you to Franco for providing us with a Rome map highlighting top sights to...

A lovely hotel in a very convenient location- entrance to metro is literally a few steps away. 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum and some nice restaurants to eat in the area. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful- happy to help with suggestions for places to eat etc. A good place to base yourself in Rome.

What can I say....what a hotel! We arrived on the Sunday morning (12th February 2017) and the flight was early, but the hotel had their driver waiting at the airport to take us to the napoleon, not expecting our room to be ready as it was around 11am, we were met at the hotel door and welcomed to this really...

Fantastic customer service, we were well courted and taken care of by very charismatic and professional staff. they gave out good recommendations and how to avoid tourist traps and showed us the true Rome. Breakfast is great and so were the rooms.

We arrived to a great reception and left like long-established friends. I can't begin to describe just how good the service was. All the staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful to 2 Rome Novices. Booking tickets, checking in for flights and booking Restaurant tables. There was a Wine and nibbles reception on the Saturday evening where Piero...

We have just returned from a 5 day break in the Eternal City, staying once more at the Hotel Napoleon. We had a wonderful holiday once again, thanks, in no small measure, to this fantastic hotel. Everything about the place is top notch. The location, the staff, the facilities, the rooms, the food......everything. I just cannot find fault and cannot...

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 4 nights and highly recommend it. The breakfast is a nice buffet style spread and includes a small glass of freshly squeezed oj or alternatively a cappuccino. Room was a decent size and same with the bathroom. Shower is in the bath. Small lift so we took the stairs. Renovations were going on...

Dear AlexD884, I must apologize again for the noise from the room below, due to renovations. A construction company, working for the first time in our hotel, was not aware of the provisions that prohibit any work or use any instrument (including vacuum) that might disturb our guests before 9 am. Also the rooms where our guests are accommodated, should...

A perfect hotel in Rome for whatever reason you travel. Very kind and trained staff, very clean, nice and silent rooms, very good breakfast. The metro leaves right in front of the hotel so you can reach all you desire within minutes. We'll definately come back!

We have stayed at the Napoleon on two different occasions and been pleasantly surprised at the quality of this central Rome hotel. We had two great rooms for the family a double and a triple. The hotel staff could not be more accommodating and helpful, they even made sure we knew the best way around to all the sites (again)...

I'd definitely stay at this hotel again. Staff made you feel special and yes like family. Very helpful and the hotel food was great especially breakfast which was included. Great wine choices. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. A small hotel within walking distance to many of the sites or to catch the hop on hop...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
