Very nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was very good but not excellent. Rooms were very good but not excellent. We did like the location near a lot of shopping and other attractions. Free wi-fi was available in the hotel lobby only.

Great hotel very romantic, would like to have been in the newer section of the hotel the older side is more dated. the breakfast was good and the service very good. the pool was a little small and the jacuzzi was only cold water with bubbles. but it did have a steam room. overall i would come back.

Dear Tripadvisor Thank you for saying we have a “great” hotel I agree with you that the Jacuzzi is cold; it is a strange construction as the Jacuzzi is connected to the pool and by Italian law the water is can only be at 29 degrees I am afraid there is nothing I can do about it and regret it...

We went as a family for a few nights before our cruise. We were put in a gorgeous, HUGE couple of adjoining rooms over looking the US embassy (don't take pictures out your window we were told!). There was also a very large balcony off both rooms. It was in a nice location within decent walking distance to notable places...

We took our 2 boys here over the summer. The rooms were very spacious. The entire staff was extremely friendly and child-friendly. The hotel is very centrally located. Very near to the US embassy and about 10mins walk to the Spanish steps. The concierge desk is very helpful. Ask for Carlo, he is terrific. Also this hotel probably has the...

This hotel exhibits all of the charm one expects from a top hotel in the Via Veneto district in Rome. The Westin Excelsior is situated next to the US Embassy and amid other world renown hotel chains. Yet the wasn't an ounce of hotel envy on our part. The building is beautiful, our room large, with 10 foot ceilings and...

Trip was a last minute affair so had difficulty booking anything and stayed at the Westin. Hotel is in a great location and is overall very nice, but it does feel a bit run down in places and in need of renovation. Staff were all very nice and no issues from the stay. Note that the pool is possibly the...

Dear Tripadvisor Thank you for your nice review and for saying that the staff is nice. As to the pool you have a point; as per Italian legislation we cannot heat if more than 29 degrees but it is refreshing after a sunny day in Rome. Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
