We stayed at this hotel as part of a larger tour group visiting holy sites in and around Rome. The hotel lobby is a bit small and can be cramped if many people are waiting to check in or out all at once. The reception staff that we dealt with were very nice and welcoming, and spoke good English. There...

I went to this hotel with a group of 28 people. The hotel was in a great location, not far from the Vatican. Just staying in Rome in a very old building added to the experience for me. The room was ok, it was very clean. The elevator was very slow so I used the stairs every time. Breakfast was...

Why do they have cold, boiled eggs next to the egg boiler? Would be nice to get a raw egg and boil it yourself instead of eating a cold, hardboiled egg with green yolk. The salami was old and uneatable and a couple of days we were only served old bread. The coffee was really not good, no taste of...

Although we were not with a good tour we had a great room. It is not easy to walk to restaurants, but we had a good time. We ate there for breakfast which was fine. Beware of some of the tour companies. Book on your own.

We had a family room and it was very nice. We had a great breakfast. There was a lot to choose from on the buffet line. The hostess was very friendly and helped us get our air plane tickets for the next day. It was only 10 minutes from the vatican.

When you meet the clerk at the hotel, nicknamed Corina, you already believe that this is a great place to stay. She was courteous, efficient and helpful. She helped us print our plane tickets and some reservations and gave directions in the neighborhood that actually worked. The hotel is a close walk to the Vatican and from our window we...

Contrary to most of the review, my stay in this hotel was quite good. I stayed for 3 nights, booked for a single bed but got upgraded to a double one. The place was clean, staff were accomodating and courteous. The buffet breakfast needs to be improve thou. Overall, location was great as it's 5-10 minutes walk to the vatican...

I have just returned from a five day holiday at this hotel. I was in a group of 80 people sharing a twin room. When we arrived some rooms were not ready. Our room was on the ground floor, not big enough for two beds, more like a cupboard, the air conditioning did not work, the safety deposit box would...

Our expectations for the Grand Olympic were tempered by many of the TA reviews I read before booking-for The Grand Olympic Hotel is not Grand and certainly not Olympic. The common areas and the rooms have clearly seen much better days but everything seemed clean. Our main level room was tight in the European manner-but the bathroom was large enough...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
