My husband and I spent six nights at the la Loggetta di Trastevere in October 2012 and can affirm all the favorable comments made previously about this B & B. The place is spotless, cheerfully decorated, well equipped and exceedingly comfortable. There is an excellent restaurant next door. The location is great, and the host is amazing. Francesco could not...

My husband, 2 1/2 year old & Mother-in-Law stayed here for a week and had a fabulous stay! We booked both rooms so had the whole place to ourselves! It was truly wonderful! We felt so comfortable as we were able to spread out and unpack a bit since we were there for so long. The rooms are attractive, spotless...

We stayed with Francesco three nights and it was just perfect! The level of cleanliness, hospitality, assistance in everything from achieving Baby Crib and loading suitcases into a taxi at 2:30 in the morning. We rented the whole apartment (two rooms) and the place was sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, modern and full of everything from bath soaps, cereal, cookies to...

This is a great B&B in a really nice area. Francesco does an amazing job here and makes sure you feel very welcome and at home. He has a great balance going offering the benefits of staying at a B&B without making you feel uncomfortable by staying in someones home. He comes in the morning at a pre-arranged time to...

This place is seriously too good to be true! It was so clean that we were afraid to "dirty" the house while we used the room, bathroom and kitchen. Everything was immaculately clean and neat, with useful information like travel maps and guide books readily available. Like everyone else before us, we have to rave about that stocked up fridge....

Buongiorno, From the emails with Francesco, till our first meeting, my sister-in-law (cognata)and I knew we had made a great choice for our stay in Rome in June. There was no problem with our early arrival, and he had maps and travel information ready for a concert we were going to, on our first night in Rome! He was always...

A little joke for Francesco, who improved his skills to prepare eggs during our stay in Rome, one year ago already (sorry, we were a bit slow evaluating this one!). An incredible welcome in a really great area to stay in order to visit Rome. The B and B is decorated with a lot of taste, and the room is...

Me and my girlfriend stayed a week at Loggetta di Trastevere where we had the whole apartment so sharing the toilet wasn't an issue. We had a wonderful breakfast waiting for us when we woke up and the apartment was cleaned everyday. Perfect, clean comfortable rooms and a clean new bathroom. The fridge was stocked so from a great day...

Our stay at Loggetta di Trastevere was most memorable during our first visit to Rome from Australia. Francesco was very helpful with providing directions to the b&b prior to our arrival and was contactable with ease. Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome from Francesco who was incredibly helpful with answering all of our questions particularly relating to travel planning,...

I love the Trastevere neighborhood but the budget accommodations tend to be noisy and cramped. This place is very quiet, clean and roomy enough. The bath is shared, but there are only two rooms so it's not much of an issue. Both rooms are newly redone and beautiful, with large windows that let in lots of light. The best part...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
