My husband and myself and our 3 year old rented the entire apartment for 5 nights in May 2013. I have stayed in other B&Bs in Rome, and they were very cramped, old, noisy, and no breakfast to hear of. Loggetta di Trastevere is the opposite, we had loads of room, we were comfortable, we had a full breakfast, and...

This was one of the best tips we could get out of tripadvisor! The place is really nice and tidy, located on the third floor of an old house (there is an elevator, don't worry) in a nice street. Be aware that there are two N° 17 on that street though, the one belonging to the Logetta is right to...

Francesco was amazing! In a big city where mandatory service charges can drive the quality of service down, this place stands out as an exception. Clean, well situated and quiet. Francesco comes daily to cook your meal, whether it be simple continental fare or wonderful egg sandwiches. We forgot our key and happened upon Francesco at nearly midnight and without...

Like just about all the other reviews here, we cannot rave about this B&B enough! I have nothing new to add. I will just say that everything positive you read in the other reviews is true and, as my title says, the reality exceeded our expectations. The apartment is spacious, charming, clean, classy and extremely comfortable. There are two separate...

You should not pass this place up. We are two couples that have spent the past three nights in this B&B and we can not rave about it enough. First the host, Francesco, is amazing. He always responds quickly to correspondences, he was always on time and waiting for us, he gives great help and directions including calling a cab...

I booked this apartment to enable my daughter and her partner to join us in Trastevere for a long weekend towards the end of February 2013. From the start Francesco proved to be a prompt and reliable contact and when we finally did meet, nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is located in a lovely part of Trastevere with...

I used TripAdvisor to select my accommodation and I have to give a big thank you to everyone who recommended Loggetta di Trastevere. We rented the whole apartment for the duration of our stay (6 days) and it was magnificent. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean. There are lots of little things that make you feel at...

I chose this B&B based on the excellent reviews and helpful website. I was then glad to find that the Trastevere area was highly recommended too, well situated for visiting all the main sites and good for nightlife etc. After booking, our correspondence with Francesco was helpful and informative and we were very much looking forward to our trip. Sadly...

If your considering this apartment in Trastevere just do it. We spent a month in Italy and this was my favourite accom; service, location and facilities all spot on. I would recommend booking both rooms in the apartment its still a really reasonable price to do so then you get the whole place to yourself.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
