My wife and I began our two week Italian vacation with 2 nights/days at the St. Regis Grand Hotel and ended with three nights/days at the Eden Hotel in Rome. We used our Starwood points to pay for one of the nights at the Eden. Upon checking in, the two desk women were disinterested in our arrival and appeared inconvenienced...

We stayed at the Eden from Oct 3 to Oct 7. Upon check-in we were graciously welcomed by the reception staff and escorted to our room. The room was smaller than the room we enjoyed at the last hotel we had stayed in (Softel The Grand Amsterdam) but it was understandable since Rome has very limited space. Despite the diminution...

I have spent the last part of my honeymoon at the Hotel Eden and am actually checking out early and moving to the Hassler Hotel. This hotel from the beginning has left me the most sour of tastes. Upon arrival i was not greeted by friendly staff, but rude individuals who did not even acknowledge my existence, and when checking...

Dear Guest, Your negative posting on Tripadvisor came to us as a great disappointment, given the great deal of effort that was made during your stay to offer you assistance and the same level of service that other guests were kind enough to praise in other reviews below. Coming to your remarks, true, Spg Gold members are entitled to an...

My wife and i went for a belated honeymoon, This was the last 4 days of a two week Sicily and Rome vacation. Truly amazing property and stunning location, and a great way to end our trip. Our room was not a suite but it was relatively large and on the carpeted side of the building (so no noise problems...

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Eden Hotel and all I can say is WOW. The staff welcomed us warmly and although totally professional they were not at all stuffy. We had a standard room which was very comfortable and spotless. The view across Rome at breakfast was beautiful as was the breakfast itself. I...

My wife and I went to Rome for a short break and really enjoyed staying in the Hotel Eden. Our room with balcony over the city was very comfortable and the bathroom was very large and luxurious too (marble everywhere). Breakfast was served in the restaurant which has a fantastic panoramic view over Rome and staff was very efficient and...

Just spent last night of 2 week Italy vacation at Hotel Eden and was great way to end vacation. Location, couple blocks from Spanish Steps, is superb--far enough to avoid the crowds but close enough to be near shopping and restaurants. Was upgraded to suite which certainly was nice and the room offered great view and nice bathroom. Concierge and...

The staff at this hotel is absolutely wonderful. After arriving from a 4 night stay at the snooty Le Sirenuse in Positano, we were overjoyed with our stay at the Eden. I stayed at the Hotel Eden for 9 nights in 2010. The staff was outstanding, welcoming and warm. The location is exceptional, the room very nice. The entire stay was great. Only issue was the rooftop restaurant where I had dinner the night before departure ... very mediocre food with prices in the statosphere....otherwise a flawless stay.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
