First day in Rome and this place was just up the road from our hotel so thought we could grab a quick late lunch from our flight. Maybe it's not a Roman thing to do as there was about 2 other tables in the restaurant. Ordered food and drinks and probably got about 4 words from the waiter. Wish I...

Large 4 topping pizza for two and a lot of wine and ice cream for two for €35 - can't complain. No frills but good evening meal - popular place it seems for that reason. On a wet Sunday evening was very welcome for weary tourists and locals too. Like so many small restaurants in Rome I guess they more...

fresh home made pasta dishes for the daily specials, tasty thin crust or thick crust pizza, plenty of options on the menu, very good multi lingual waitress and a busy friendly restaurant overall. 40 euro included an entree that we shared, a pizza, a pasta, a half litre of red wine, a large water and 2 deserts. very pleased with...

Coming to the end of our trip, we were a bit over eating out. But we still managed to enjoy a simple meal at this place. They had a good selection of appetisers, so we managed to catch up on some dishes we had missed out on before like arancini balls and fried olives. They also did a wonderful pasta...

I really wish that I would've saved writing all of my reviews until I returned home, rather than writing them the night of. If I would've done so, L'Osteria di Cicerone would've been a 7 out of 5 compared to everything else. The service, the food, the atmosphere - everything was beyond amazing. I was a bit wary of trying...

Seven of us and all had great meals. Pastas were all done al dente and not laden with garlic. Pizzas were terrific. The beef dish was superb. Prices were very reasonable. ..... and service was friendly and welcoming. Surprised others have not found this place but then again it's located in a residential area west of the river and near...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
