We stayed 4 nights in the Hotel Portoghesi and we were very pleased with our choice. The location is perfectly situated in the Piazza Navona area equidistant between the Spanish Steps and the Vatican. The Piazza Navona is a 2 minute walk away and a great place to be in the evening. A few more minutes gets you to the...

Great hotel in the center of Rome, walking distance to everything. Very friendly and welcoming staff. One of our best vacations ever! From breakfast to room comfort, everything was excellent. The room we got was spacious enough to fit the 4 of us. If we come back to Rome, we will definitely stay in this hotel again. One of our...

We just spent three nights at the Hotel Portoghesi and could not have been more pleased. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff accommodating and patient with what must have been the same questions they'd heard a million times before. The location is ideal and everything from the Vatican to the colosseum within walking distance. Before you head out...

Do you know the pleasure of staying in a modest hotel where thoughtful attention has been given to every detail? That, plus a gracious staff in the breakfast room and at the reception desk — and then a lively neighborhood just outside the door in whatever direction you might choose — make the Hotel Portoghesi a perfect pick while visiting...

Room was big as Italy standards go. Breakfast on the roof is a nice touch. Alessandra { think that was her name} was very welcoming in the a.m. She makes a great cappuccino! Location is within walking distance of many of Rome's sites.

This is definitely a three star hotel. But it has the quietest rooms I've ever experienced in any hotel anywhere. Now the street itself is not very noisy. But there's a restaurant right underneath my window. And when I close the windows I cannot hear a peep. The staff are really nice. And the location is excellent. My criticism would...

This hotel was recommended by Rick Steve's and it was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights and we were so well cared for by every member of the staff. We were impressed by their customer service and couldn't get over what a great location it was in. It's within easy walking distance to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori,...

We stayed at the Hotel Portoghesi for 4 nights. The location is perfect. Very close to all main sites but down a side street that is the perfect quiet location. The gentlemen at the front desk were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Our room was a good size, but we did get the junior suite per recommendations that we had...

The Portoghesi is a great small hotel located in a central location near the Piazza Navona and a convenient taxi stand. We have stayed here three times and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly each time. The gentlemen at the front desk are extremely helpful and expert in recommending restaurants and making reservations.

We spent last a Thanksgiving in Rome with out two children 11 and 6! The hotel was PERFECT! Location, staff, accommodation. We stayed at one of their family suites, queen bed and two single beds. Bathroom was recently remodeled, spacious (especially for Europe), clean and great water pressure! Breakfast on the roof top was great! Again, my kids loved Sabina!...
