No journeys are remarkable without a few memorable things. Of all the special things Rome offered us, we will always remember this. SOPHIE !!! Right on our arrival way past midnight, while the city was asleep, Sophie showed us the most marvellous view of the illuminated St. Peter's. Through a secret keyhole ! At that instant moment, we knew that...

Me and my Girlfriend stayed here for 4 days during December, it was a wonderful experience! The room is beautifully furnished, and Sophie is a great host. She made us feel right at home, giving us advice on anything that is a must-see in Rome as well as helping us with anything we needed. The apartment is located very close...

I stayed in the La Dolce Vita apartment for 5 weeks while taking and intensive teacher training course in Rome. It was very clean, wonderfully decorated and conveniently located within walking distance from my college as well as to Termini. Sophie was most helpful and addressed all my requests promptly. The place really felt like a home away from home....

The place is located in a not so touristic neighborhood of Rome, although with Termini close by, with all the necessary public transport. Here you can find loads of bars and restaurants at reasonable prices, where locals eat. The rooms are colorful to say the least, but very original and above all clean. We received a warm welcome by Sophie,...

My wife, adult daughter and I stayed here for 5 days. Room was clean and most beautifully decorated. It was very clear the owner was artistic. Unfortunately, the Sophie, the owner, was out of town at a film festival, so we did not get to meet her. We did meet her assistance, her children, her next door neighbor, and some...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
