Initially we were apprehensive when we arrived due to the less than attractive street it was on but we were extremely pleased once we got inside. Staff were friendly, couldn't have been more helpful, room was clean, bright and comfortable. Excellently located to nearby restaurants, 10 mins walk from main station. Cannot give them enough praise, absolutely brilliant! Would defo...

We found this hotel/B&B online and you would never find it otherwise! It's VERY hidden away (even when the taxi dropped us off right outside the building, we thought it might be a mistake). Once we buzzed in, the owner greeted us at the door to accompany us up the stairs to the B&B. It's small - only 4 rooms...

I stayed at the Daysleeper for three days in May and it was very nice and exactly what I was lead to believe from the other reviews. The owners were very helpful and friendly, the room was nice and modern and the a/c worked perfectly, something that was a problem at other hotels I've stayed at in Italy. It's not...

We were planning for our honeymoon to Rome and came across Daysleeper B&B on TA. With the good reviews, well furnished/modern looking photos, and reasonable prices, we decided to go ahead to book Daysleeper B&B for the 3 nights we were in Rome. Never regretted our choice as Daysleeper is simply excellent! Francesco and Manuela had provided us with clear...

To clarify, we initially planned to stay at Daysleeper for a night before moving on to Amalfi. However, due to a missed train stop, we ended up missing our planned stay. On the train journey, we received a sms from the owner/ recept of the bnb, reminding us of our check in. At that point, we sort of guessed we...

We stayed five days at the Daysleeper B&B in Rome over Easter. It is located within walking distance from the Termini Station and close to buses & another metro station. Nearby are restaurants and a full grocery store. It is a very modern and tastefully decorated B&B. The room is clean and large with a full bathroom. Although we had...

Had a great stay at Daysleeper. The rooms are clean, tidy and very modern. Daysleeper comes with  number of extras which make it great value for money - free wireless intenet, tea and coffee making facilities (although unfortunately they were not refreshed every day), and a small complimentary mini bar (again not alway replenished). Daysleeper is ideally located about 5...

We were in Rome during the start of the holy week. Really glad that we found accommodation at Daysleeper inn. We took the nightswimming room and totally loved the whirlpool, which was big enough for two. With all the walking, the whirlpool was something we looked forward to every night. The room was cosy and warmly lit. The room was...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
