We stayed here for five nights in early September. The Vatican View far exceeded our expectations. Not only is it a five minute walk from the a Vatican, but the rooms are spacious and very clean. Our room had a bedroom, a walk-in closet, a very clean and modern bathroom, and a little kitchenette stocked with coffee, muffins and water....

Dear MyTwoCent, Thank you :D we're so happy for this beautiful review! Me and Daniel in particulary! I know, the Vatican View from the outside it seems everything except the jewel that is in reality! Entering inside you can already see the modernity and style away from the usual hotels that there are in Rome. The rooms have a special...

My wife and I stayed at Vatican View just one night on the first day of our vacation in Italy and the hotel was quite nice. The only way you can stay closer to the vatican is if the pope himself invites you over. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to St. Peters so truth in advertising...

This hotel really exceeded my expectations. It was literally half a block to the Vatican and close to taxis that can take you anywhere. There are few rooms in the hotel, which ensures that guests are treated kindly. This hotel gives much more than what is advertised. My room had a kitchen with free snacks, a walk-in closet, and a...

My wife and I stayed here with another couple. The front desk staff was fantastic and their recommendations for just about everything was spot on. We chose to ignore one of their recommendations (don't eat anywhere around the hotel) and we we paid the price of a very mediocre meal. Rooms were pleasant.

My wife & I stayed here last October for 4 nights. The staff was great and it was very close to Vatican City. Granted it wasn't super close to the rest of the tourist attractions but that is what a taxi is for. Would recommend to others and stay here again myself.

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
