I made the reservation based on the location and that it was in a lively area. My partner & I confirmed that not only this was true, but found that the service was excellent with very cordial/friendly staff. Breakfast, which is served in their next...More

My in-laws , my husband and myself all stayed at this hotel. They were extremely accommodating. The only thing wrong with this venue is the air wasn’t working very well. The hotel was beautiful and being that I speak Italian it did help. All the...More

Great little boutique hotel. Rooms are nicely renovated keeping some of the original charm of the original building. Staff were friendly and helpful. Being above the gay bar I thought it would be noisy as my room was located directly above but it was fine....More

My fiancé and I stayed here in late May and would happily stay here again! The room is small and the shower could be better, but the location can’t be beat. You’re across the street from The Colosseum, meaning there’s incredible views at night. Room...More

About
Description
Located in Rome, in front of the Colosseum, our 9 apartments are dislocated between the 1st and the 2nd Floor of a historic building, steps away from the metro and facing the Colosseum and the Ludus Magnus. ...More The respect for the original details of an ancient roman residence, merged with the modern design and furniture, makes SecondFloor the magical place to live the feeling of the glorious past of the eternal city, taking advantage of all comforts. We're in the Gay street of Rome and it makes our hotel an LGBT friendly and safe environment. Our bar restaurant Coming Out, on the ground floor, is the first point of reference for the gay reality in Rome, always remaining a place opened to everybody. In fact, a large number of our clients are straight couples or families. Secondfloor and Coming Out work together as one entity, offering an accommodating stay and a friendly, yet professional service by a young but well experienced staff, whose first prerogative is the welfare of the guests. Check in after hours is done via the staff at the cafe downstairs. They are very friendly and helpful but it is done through them and not a 'formal reception desk'. Enjoy your vacation!!
