Pros: great staff , breakfast is modest but good, good price, great location 3 blocks fro railway and metro ,quiet, large rooms, large washroom. Cons: You must co-ordinate with the staff for your arrival to get access.Located on second floor with very tiny elevator.

Talk about perfect location and a very nice building. The breakfast was sufficient and room was very clean, the view of the basilica was perfection. Our only complaint was not enough hot water for two showers in a row.

This was an amazing bed and breakfast (croissants and self-serve coffee for breakfast)! Stefano was very helpful. Our room had a walk in closet and a huge bathroom! We definitely used the air conditioning because Rome is HOT!

The good - handy to Termini, clean, well serviced, spacious, plenty of storage, easy walk to Colosseum, loads of restaurants nearby (but skip the one downstairs). The bed was comfortable for Italy (where beds seem to come in hard, harder and hardest in the places I choose...). The building felt secure, with four locked doors between us and the room... More

B & B is very central just around corner from railway station. Plenty of restaurants nearby and easy walk to centre of Rome, Trevi Fountain. Rooms and very clean and breakfast is sufficient. There is a lift up to the rooms.

Very near Termini, in a typical late 19th century high-quality elevator building. Excellent location, we walked more-or-less everywhere on the east side of the Tiber, having visited the Vatican and Trastevere on earlier visits. We had one of the two ensuite doubles, which are spacious. The private bath double and single no doubt also are good. Of those two, we... More

The location is premium. The place is very clean. The owner Stefano and the staff are very friendly and professional. There are many shops, places to eat, a supermarket and the train station nearby in addition to a tram station. It is very convenient to stay at Maior B and B! I would surely repeat this experience.

We needed to spend a night in Rome before our flight back home and we quickly had to find a place to stay that's near enough the Termini Station (where the 5 Euro buses with WiFI takes you to and from the airport park) and to walk to different sites. Surprisingly, this small very clean 4-room B&B (that happen to... More

Thank you very much about “+” ! We are so glad for your good review. Our windows have double glasses now. So you can close the window to have silence. If you have hot with close windows, you can turn on the air conditioned. Bye and thank you so much again for your good feedback :) More

This quiet B&B is located in very short distance from the main train station. The first platform, where one gets off from Fiumicino Airport, you walk right out the station and Maior can't much more than a straight five minute walk. My single room was very quiet and very clean. Private bath down the hall also very clean. Breakfast is... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
