This was our second trip to Rome but the first with our 13 and 10 year old sons. We chose the Relais based on what we had read on Tripadvisor and were definitely not disappointed. From the moment we got there, Francesco welcomed us, got us set up in our room and spent time sharing his insight as to what...

We stayed at the Relais Maddalena in mid June. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place. We were able to walk almost everywhere! The rooms are modest but functional with completely renovated bathrooms. The breakfasts included a wide variety of meats and cheeses. The views of the square below from the breakfast room were breathtaking. Both managers were awesome...

If you love small, unique, boutique hotels that are centrally located, this hotel is for you. I'll start with what I liked about this hotel. First, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Before I arrived, they emailed me to see if I wanted to reserve a driver for pick-up at the airport. When you get off your plane exhausted...

This place is a walk back in time, from its massively oversized front door, to the stone staircase--well worn from footfalls through the ages--to the views of the Pantheon and the old Church of Mary Magdalene across the quaint square. Opening the wooden shutters to your room's window reveals these treasured sights and sounds from the present day Romans and...

Francesco and Elena made us feel so at home every day the hardest part was leaving. The location was perfectly central and we had the special pleasure of hearing an opera singer outside every day a 5pm.The rooms were well maintained except for a cracked TV screen but you don't care when the view from your window is so wonderful....

Relais Maddalena is a perfect choice for any stay in Rome. The building is beautiful and in a fabulous location, mere steps from the Pantheon. Francesco and Selena are helpful and attentive, eager to offer recommendations and meet any required needs. The complementary breakfast is wonderful, served in a light and airy breakfast room......a great way to start the day....

Charming bed and breakfast tucked into an old building just north of the Pantheon. Easy walking to all of the old city. I ate a lovely breakfast on the little balcony over the green doors each day, looking down the side street directly at the Pantheon. They took good care of me. With a problem with the AC in my...

This hotel was terrific. The location, just steps from the Pantheon, was perfect as we were only in Rome for a day and a half. We maximized our time and minimized our stress by having the hotel arrange our pick up from the airport. Our driver was waiting when we arrived and entertained us all the way to the hotel...

This is the second time we stayed at the Relais Maddalena. We stayed last year and enjoyed the hotel and location so much we came back again, with our two grown up daughters! As before we found the hotel and its location, just around the corner from the Pantheon, perfect. Various reviewers describe Relais Maddalena as a B&B, I'll settle...

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely boutique hotel in central Rome with my husband and adult daughter. This bed and breakfast hotel really is in an ideal location to reach all the sights of Rome by foot - just steps from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona and in a beautiful piazza of its own housing the...

Relais Maddalena stands right in the middle of everything! This cozy 6 room guest house is the ideal couch for those who love to get to Rome on a weekend for a romantic getaway or a quick tour of the historical centre. We are just 300 feet away from the Pantheon and the location is really convenient if you like to enjoy the beauty of monumental Rome without using the car or public transportation: everything is at hand and can be reached with an easy walk. The rooms are all elegant and functional; you will find hand made upholstery and fine antiques, king size beds and sound proof windows, plus all the comfort of modern technology: air conditioning/heating, minibar, satellite and cable TV, internet connection, safebox and more! Many rooms have a lovely view outside on piazza della Maddalena and on piazza Rondanini, two among the neatest small piazzas of central Rome.We clean the rooms every day and change the linen every 2 days, and towels every time is needed. All our rooms have private bathrooms, which are spacious and comfortable. The staff is helpful and will do nearly anything to make your stay in Rome the most enjoyable. Ciao!. ... more   less
