We had an amazing time in Rome and our hotel owner/operator made it better. When we first arrived Consuelo was especially warm and very informative. Her summary of the city was very thorough and included everything we would need to know. From the transit navigation, to local scams, and an excellent food tour of the city. We ate at 4...

Firstly, this is a B &B not a hotel although the set up is like a hotel.large rooms with high ceilings, beautiful chandeliers and some very clever lighting. There are only about 6 rooms and not all the same. Very clean, fridge in the room and a walk in rain shower. Staff were very helpful, the 2 person lift was...

We stayed here for 4 nights in June. After reading various reviews on trip advisor I was not very sure whether to book or not but as most reviews seems positive I took the chance. I must say this was a lovely B&B. It is situated on the 4th floor. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was lovely,...

Have just spent a 3 night break in this delightful b and b. We had difficulty finding the place as situated on the forth floor of a building but location is excellent very close to the termini station so all areas easily accessible by train tram bus or metro. Rooms and shower were well maintained and tastefully decorated. Consuelo was...

Great location around the terminal. The place is just a little worn (blown light bulbs not replaced, shower heads broken or missing). Breakfast is not free but can be purchased for 5 euro. Overall it was a great stay that was comfortable and convenient.

Location - excellent, just a couple of blocks away from Termini so everywhere is accessibly by tram, bus or metro. Room - comfortable and well appointed. Window has shutters which black out light and cut city noise so we slept well. Breakfast - fresh daily to get you on your way quickly.

Just stunning! The hotel, the location, the staff!!! Consuelo was an asset for our holiday in Rome. Upon check in she showed us everything we need to know, suggested restaurants and tourist spots. She drew all over a map which we used throughout our holiday. Loved her! The room was stunning. 5star kind of stunning. The rain shower was incredible....

We have just spent 3 nights in this lovely little bnb. It's located perfectly for the termini station and metro plus a short walk to all of the amazing sites in Rome. The rooms have been modernised tastefully with a funky rain shower with jets. It's better than the photos we looked at which is rare. The owners are lovely...

Me and my wife stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely time in Rome. The distance from Termini station is only few hundred meters and the location is very suitable starting point for nice walks around the city. The room was large and clean enough and the breakfast was simple but filled our needs perfectly. The staff was...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
