This hotel is really well located. However the service is very bad. The person of the hotel were even not able to tell us how to reach the airport. The breakfast is really bad, and the woman who prepare the breakfast doesn't speak english. She ask you to come to take your tea at the bar she even not move...

This a small b&b type guest house, only a small number of rooms all on the same level, the reception is not manned all the time which can cause the odd problem like checking out when we wanted to leave, we had to use an alternative card for payment as the card I secured the room on was stolen whilst...

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here in late December. We booked the hotel quite late so were delighted with the value at which it cost us. The hotel was spotless and we enjoyed a gorgeous breakfast the next morning on the terrace of the hotel with a great selection of foods, fresh juice and coffee. The views were as much...

Dear Guest, thank you for choosing Locanda San Pancrazio and also for taking time to post a review about your stay. I am delighted to read your words. We dispose the breakfast in order to let our guest can taste our home-made pies and products. We thought about the view on the terrace as a background where our guest can...

Good stay in a quiet area of Rome. Very close to the Trastevere area and walkable to most sites. While not in the center of the old city, I found this to be a good location from which to explore. It does feel more like a B&B than a true hotel, but therein lies the charm. There are plenty of...

Dear Guest, thanks for choosing Locanda San Pancrazio and for taking the time to post a review of your stay. I am really glad to know that our location was so appreciated by you. Trastevere is a very particular area where is concentrated all the "romanity" of the last two centuries and it is also very close by the city...

warm and very helpful reception staff and welcome. small and quiet location but very near Trestevere area for good restaurants and bars and a nice walk to the centre. rooms are not overly large but the rest makes up for it. it is a very small hotel, 7 rooms but a nice breakfast terrace on the roof.

Value: Booked through Jetsetter, it was definitely not a good deal. Another traveler we met booked on Agoda and got a much better deal, they did book last minute so maybe that was the reason. Location: This property is tucked up a steep road in the residential neighborhood of Rome called "Trastevere" it is renowned for its nightlife for its...

We have just spent 4 days at Locanda San P. Nice and quiet place, nice room, hot water only missing twice (!), but: We had a hard time finding this place. Having finally found it, there was no one til let us in; It was 5 o`clock in the afternoon, I had written to inform about us arriving late afternoon,...

What a wonderful place and location! Great attention to detail, very friendly people, and without the drawbacks of staying in a big hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic; walking distance from most attractions (restaurant centre, Vatican, river, botanical gardens). My only (and very small!) criticism could be about the signs of damp in the bathroom, but I did check with...

We stayed at this hotel for a week in October and it's a small hotel in a lovely old building in the Monteverdi section in Rome. It's just up the hill (a short walk) from Trastevere...in a residential neighborhood. There are lots of small restaurants that tend to be more Roman and not so touristy. It's very close to public...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
