We have just returned from a long weekend at Villa Duse, and it was just perfect. The hotel is in the suburbs, a public tact from Fumicino airport on the meter cost €52. The hotel is beautiful, fairly small, and exceptionally clean. The hotel smells lovely, and attention to detail is prevelant all around. We went for my husbands 40th...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and had a great time! We were traveling with our baby boy. The staff was really sweet and attentive. The room was very clean and quiet (very important for us). The hotel is located in a quiet and lovely area of Rome but not in the historical centre which is probably why...

My husband and I spent two nights here. After reading the reviews we were excited to check out this hotel. The hotel was close to the bus routes and there were a few dining options in the area as well as a supermarket. Taxi rides to the city varied, but were generally 20-30 euro to the city center. We did...

The hotel was very well presented with nice luxury detail in the room making our stay special. All the staff were very helpful and would go out of their way to and helped with bus and train times to get into town. Yes the hotel is within walking distance of the city centre, but an hour walk at a minimum....

We ( me and my family) were at Rome from 21st july to 25th July and unfortunately were staying at Hotel Villa Duse. We had the Tower Lodge and the Red Suite to ourselves. The problems we faced were : 1. Water leakage from the Bathroom roof, which was not resolved by the hotel. 2. Air conditioner not working properly....

Dear Ashutosh18, We are in receipt of your comments and we would like to apologise if your experience at the Hotel Villa Duse, did not meet your expectations; However, having investigated the matter, it seems that the water leakage in the bathroom was caused by a problem in the air conditioning system, which was brought to our attention at the...

Just returned from spending 3 nts at the Villa Duse. We booked the 2 patio rooms..one for our kids and one for us. Great place and great staff. Yes, it takes about 45 minutes to get to town, but it is well worth it. The quiet is needed after a busy day in old Rome. This was our haven at...

The Hotel Villa Duse is just close enough to the city center to make it convenient for tourists, but far enough away to keep you from being disturbed by all of the tourist hubbub. We like to walk so we did not have a problem hiking into town each day to see the sites. It takes about an hour to...

Extremely lovely staff. Very helpful and genuinely sweet. Beautiful place. Even a great coffee shop and sandwich bar on the corner which positively buzzes at lunch time. And the nearby gallery (€7 cab ride) is very much worth a visit.

My partner and I really got lucky with this hotel. Booking last minute, we were happy to get anything within our price range and boy did this deliver. The rooms are stunning - romantic ornate furniture, gold trim, huge bed with oh so fluffy pillows ... I spent so much time in that room even when summertime Rome was laying...

Hotel Villa Duse met all expectations created by their own website. We were in touch with the hotel staff for a couple of months before visiting Rome and received attentive and friendly advice. The boutique-style hotel is simple but elegant, very clean, and quiet. The neighborhood was safe and convenient to the center of Rome by either long walks, bus,...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
