We stayed at this B&B for the better part of a week and were extremely impressed. Elena is a phenominal host. There was a small issue where our room became unavailable te day we were to arrive. Elena not only booked us a room nearby and covered the difference out of pocket but also came to pick us up from...

We were with our family seven days in Rome and had a perfect stay. A nice and clean room with a good shower and a perfect bed for each of us. The breakfest next doors was simple but good and we have got each morning a perfect cup of cappuccino. The apartment was in a friendy part of Rome with...

my daughter and I stayed in the B&B earlier this month (Sept. 2012). first & foremost - Elena went out of her way to make our stay the best it can be and we're gratefull for all her help. its rare to find people like this. The room we stayed in had a nice balcony overlooking the square and an...

Elena is very helpful, friendly and accommodating. It was a bit different than others, because it's not always staffed. The owner Elena will contact you to arrange to have someone present when you arrive, but other than that you'll often be left to yourself. It also means that the rooms are only cleaned every few days, but frankly after traveling...

Hi Girls! Just to invite you to come back now in September 2012, one year after your stay!! In "your" room with balcony: you will find a big bed and no more two single beds! Just now in August '12, like I promised I have done some works (3 new baths!) and changed also the electrical system in whole the...

My review is a little bit (only a year!) late but i see that this B&B is still getting great reviews so i am okay with still writing one! Stayed here for four nights in June 2011. We got lost on the way (because we are silly tourists) and called Elena, the hostess, and she helped us navigate perfectly! I...

I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Rome. Great location in a lovely neighborhood which feels very local and authentic, yet is still not far at all from the sights. Elena is very friendly and full of very useful information. The rooms are comfortable. The price is right. My only criticism would be that - as...

Situated inside an apartment building in a quiet residential neighborhood directly overlooking a park, B&B Testaccio is an idyllic place to stay to tour Rome. I was worried about the location at first since I always like to stay as close to the center as possible, but we thanked our lucky stars every night that we didn't stay anywhere close...

I was very fortunate to discover Bed & Breakfast Testaccio while I was in Rome this January. I had a nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable room, a balcony, and a large bathroom with shower AND bathtub. Elena and Marco are both charming, accommodating, and very interesting to converse with. They will help you solve any unexpected needs you may have....

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
