Really enjoyed our stay here for our first time in Rome. The price is literally unbeatable. The rooms are immaculate, clean, and comfortable. We booked the triple room for 3 people and it was spacious enough for us. The location is excellent and central! We walked everywhere and got to see all the famous spots (coliseum, Trevi fountain, pantheon, etc. in one day) It’s located right next to all the best restaurants. 100 feet from the famous Osteria Da Fortunata and right across the street from Frigidarium Gelato. The staff was friendly and their breakfast was filling. I would stay here in a HEARTBEAT again!

This was the best location in Rome. We stayed in Hotel Damaso from 10/3-10/9 2021 and was our fist time in Rome. We were greeted with the best cystomer service. Paolo was excellent and went above and beyond for us and made our stay that much more pleasant. Our room was cleaned daily and we were so happy, especially for a germaphobe like me. The location is the best in my opinion within Rome. You step out if your hotel doors and you are next a stone toss away from the Da Vinci Museum. Campo di Fiorri is about 2 minutes walk from the hotel which had more than a dozen places to eat. You will fall in move with the decor, the location, the customer service, the convenience, and the views in this hotel. We will definitely book again in the future at Hotel Damaso.

I've been at Hotel Damaso for 3 nights with 2 more to go and I can't wait until I get home to write a review. Location is perfect - right around the corner from Campo de' Fiori and across the street from Piazza Navona and a few blocks from the Pantheon. It's in an old building that was renovated in 2017 and it's beautiful. Very elegant and modern while retaining the charm of the old building. The rooms are spacious and lovely and each one has its own decor. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Everyone, without exception, goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly. It's truly a welcoming place. Staff made several restaurant reservations for me and found out of the way places that I loved (one in Testervere called Ai Bozzi that blew my mind with the creative, delicious food, Go there!) Many European hotels have wonderful breakfasts included in the price, but this one excels. There is one woman who is the main server who, after serving you something you have asked for then asks "And?" by way of making sure you have everything you want. The food is excellent and so is the service. I have never stayed at any American hotel that comes anywhere close to this breakfast service even at a hefty charge. I have stayed in countless hotels all over the USA and Europe and this is by far my favorite. Other hotels may be more luxurious and have far more amenities, but I would pick this place over them all. My experience has been that the more amenities a so-called luxury hotel has, the greater the chances that something will go wrong or be "off." This place sticks to the basics and does everything superbly well. Don't be fooled by the reasonable prices -- it's a first-class place. Thank you, Hotel Damaso, for a wonderful stay. I'm looking forward to my two remaining days with you, and I look forward to returning soon.

Don’t stay here if you have a rental car. This hotel is in ZTL zone meaning you can’t drive up to the hotel, closest parking is more than 10 mins away and impossible to drag your suitcase because of the stones on the floor. We didn’t know we could not drive up to the hotel so we drove right up and got traffic tickets that is camera controlled by the city. You can’t tell where you can and you can’t drive unless you already know about this rule. So be very careful. If you have a baby who needs baby bed, they charge 20 euro for that. We booked from their website directly and it said we would receive room upgrade- we didn’t say anything at the check in and of course, we didn’t receive any upgrade. We checked in well after their check in time but they made us wait in the lobby with our toddler son for more than 30 mins!!! They said extra bed is not setup yet. WHY!? We were so tired from driving from Florence to Rome that day. This made me really unhappy especially if you have kids- you know 30 mins with a crazy toddler feels like 2 hours. Breakfast was very minimal. Worst we had on our two week long vacation. Just some pastries and cold cuts. I really can’t recommend this place- especially if you are a family or have rental car. Parking is seriously FAR! And of course you need to pay more than 20 euro per day still to park in that garage. Location wasn’t great for sightseeing either if you are looking to see major sights like colosseum, Trevi fountain etc. Choose somewhere else! There are so much better hotels in Rome!!
