Me and my wife was in Rome first time and we were not disappointed. Room are not to big but clean and equipped with all necessary. Flat TV, Air Cond, free Wi-Fi etc. Cute Roman patio, extremely friendly hostess Julia, which helped us throughout created a wonderful atmosphere of holiday! Recommend. Victor, Moscow, Russia.

This is a really lovely place - a charismatic building, great rooms, and - most of all - charming and friendly staff. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because whilst it is very handy for the station, it is a little way out from the main attractions of town. Having said that, it is entirely walkable (we...

Rome is not the most pristine of cities, Termini not the cleanest section either. However, in the midst of this busy area we found an oasis. BB Queen, owned and operated by Julia, was extraordinarily clean, quiet and safe and very convenient to the bus and train - I would guestimate about 5 blocks. All new contemporary rooms, brand new...

What a lovely little place. Other reviews have said how nice this place is but I must comment on how clean it is, what a great location it has & how nice Julia is. We had a triple room & we were 3 women, all trying to get ready at once, but there was plenty of room. The facilities are...

I really want to remember my stay at the BB Queen fondly, and I would recommend this place on the condition below: I was grateful that BB Queen was available on very little notice. The place is attractive, well designed and has great amenities - a very good TV, a nice bed, a small valuables safe in the room, a small...

After searching the net for rooms, I stumbled upon the pictures for BBQueen. This was one of two hotels, I arranged to stay at while visiting Rome. There weren't to many reviews but the ones I did find (mostly on venere.com) were of high regards....so I took a chance. I was traveling with my parents, so I needed something within...

Very nice and charming place! After several hours of searching over internet a place to stay in Rome we found BBQueen. We wanted to stay near Termini because it is a central transportation point what means you can reach almost everything from there. The pictures looked really nice and homely (not like other places we looked at) and the price...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
