Chroma hotels is beyond doubt one of my best discoveries yet. I bumped into it quite by accident. I was browing through Google Maps for hotels in Rome when a bright red room with sleek interior caught my eyes. When I checked their website and I was surprised - a nice room in a B&B in central Rome at such...

This hotel is located in a residential building in a prime location within walking distance from Termini. There are a lot of nice cafes and restaurants close by. The rooms are very modern contemporary with an awesome high pressure shower head that feels like rain. I would recommend this hotel for it's location, price, and personalize service. There are only...

This hotel is actually more of an apartment place. It will be hard to find as there isn't any signage depiciting it as Chroma Hotel (you will have to rely on your taxi to be knowledgeable enough to find it). It is well situated in a nice neighborhood. Termini Station is about a 10 minute walk. You can walk to...

If you really want to pretend that you live in Rome, rather than are just a tourist, then this is the place for you! The hotel is situated in rather a residential area a short(ish) walk from the station and unusual in that the rooms are part of an apartment. The entrance is immediately opposite the Museo Nazionale d'Arte Orientale...

The place wasn't like other hotels with a sign out. You have to find the address and ring the buzzer and it doesn't even say it is a hotel. Very cramped area, no window in the room. Check in time was later than the website posted and the checkout time was earlier than posted, as well. Overall, a clean place...

If you like quiet, upscale, and modern, this hotel is for you. We stayed two nights. At first it looks like an apartment building, but it is a small part of the building and is awesome!!!! Very modern and clean. Great shower and bathroom.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“The window of our room looked out upon the breakfast area. Maybe, not the best room if you want to sleep with the window open and you do not want to be disturbed in the morning.”
