I paid 50 Euros per night and good very good value for money. I had a bathroom in my room and a very generous breakfast in the morning. They also paid attention to what you favored for breakfast and gave you more of it the next morning. Room was very clean and I was greeted with two bottles of water...

I only stayed one night and left mid-afternoon the next day for a flight to London but here is my experience story. I arrived in Rome very late from the Amalfi Coast on the night of my stay at this very reasonably priced B&B. So late, in fact, that the owner was nowhere to be found and what could have...

I truly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Felice and his team are very nice and helpful treating you like a prince. The room was nice, modern and fresh with a lovely view from the balcony. I especially enjoyed the breakfast that was delivered to my room every morning. The area around the hotel is fine, the hotel is within...

We selected this little b&b based on the pictures on booking.com. Our room however (indicated on the door as 'private') however was small and nothing memorable; bathroom was small, but ok. We we're able to take a peek in the other rooms (facing the main street); much larger and charming, but seemed they all use 1 shared bathroom. As our...

When you're in rome there's no need to spend excessive amounts of money on hotel rooms because of the amount of time you stay there is negligible. BB Sana Croce is so much more than me and my partner could have hoped for. We were met and given maps and asked what time we would like our breakfast then showed...

Stayed 4 nights in June. Located on the southeast of Rome in a relatively quiet business/residential neighbourhood, it's an easy 10-15min. walk to the Colosseum, although you'll want to invest in a metro pass (or the Roma Pass that gets you museum access + free metro) to get anywhere else in the city as it's not the most walk-able. The...

Mere minutes from the Metro, this is a lovely little B&B. The room; the bed, the TV, the bathroom exceeded our expectations - nicer layout than similarly priced hotels that are about. Not to mention the shortage of rooms in Rome with an en-suite. We were let down by other accommodation last minute, but not only did they take us...

Don't come expecting a hotel, but rather a bed and breakfast inside a condo. We booked this room through Hotels.com and would recommend it to singles and couples; for Rome the price is very hard to beat. Our room had a private bath and we loved all the nice furniture and fixtures. Everything was super clean and nice. The owner...

Don't even think about to reserve a room on this b&b, the owner is a cruk, taking advantage of the tourist naifity. You won't get what is promisses even tho is written. Stay away!!! We supposed to have a room with large balcony, a/c, in room bathroom. We got no balcony, no in room bathroom, no a/c and the kitchen...

We booked here after searching for a cheap B&B to cater for our family (2 Adults and 2 kids) at a reasonable rate for 2 nights in central Rome. We found this little gem! Really centrally located, spacious room, separate private bathroom, beautifully clean and well presented room and bathroom. The host was great, we arrived over an hour late...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
