Was pretty unfortunate to get the orange room as the sewage system in the toilet omitted bad smell throughout our stay. The hot water boiler was not working and good for 1 person shower only and have to wait for more than 30min for the next person. We forfeited 1N charge to stay in another hotel. Although location next to...

We just visited Rome a few days ago and we were stunned by the hospitality, kindness, tact and intelligence of the owner Massimo, along with a nice modern design of the room and excellent location of this hotel, every historical site is just 1-3 kilometers away. We were greeted by him and met downstairs by Massimo on our first day,...

We stayed there for 2 days over there , very great location just next to main station of Rome. The owner and front desk lady was very helpful , they were very helpful to guide you for all nearby locations , about metro. Its a great place to stay if you are couple or single.

it was a very pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and quite funky. I love the low beds.. The owner Massimo was really nice and could contact him all the time. I left my newly bought shoes and he even agreed to send it by post....And though they don't have breakfast you get this coupon for cafe next door... Which...

I stayed here for 5 nights in total, and this place is really central. Just right across the main station, Termini, and it was superb for me as i arrived from Venice by train. It was so easy to find as the owner Massimo gave the directions and maps to me before hand. Upon arrival, Massimo was really a great...

I have had the good fortune to spend 3 nights at this bed and breakfast. Massimo, the owner, was extremely helpful and hospitable. The location is very convenient: within say 20 meters of the train station. This bed and breakfast was very clean, very tastefully decorated, with very comfortable large beds, and nice air conditioning. Even though it's so close...

We stayed here as our first stop on a 3 week honeymoon and it was fantastic. If you are someone who likes your hotels exactly the same with an American breakfast and the character of a Super 8 then don't stay here. But if you want to enjoy a nice Roman place with a ton of character than this is...

My wife and I had booked three nights in the "Aqua" room at Art and Relax based off the great reviews and high ranking on Trip Advisor, we were very mistaken once we got there. It is true, you are literally across the street from the train station, but you are however in the middle of a ghetto, with shady...

Having been sufficiently duped by all the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor, my girlfriend and I booked 2 nights at Art and Relax for the final slice of our European vacation. At the risk of coming off harsh and judgmental I wholeheartedly suggest that you LOOK ELSEWHERE if you're planning a trip to Rome. True, Art and Relax is a...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
