We were allocated this hotel as part of a package so was hesitant as to what it would be like. The reception staff were helpful and pleasant, the room was a standard double and was a decent size with remote control adjustable beds which was nice. The location was near to the main train station which is good for travel...

We stayed @ the Augusta Lucilla Palace in Rome for 3 nights from Oct 5 - 8 by mistake and were we ever lucky !! We had reservations around the corner @ the Hotel Diana Roof Garden, but, as we went to check-in, the Front Desk quickly told us something about "no water" in the Hotel and had a bell...

The hotel is super close to Termini, also a nice walk away from the Colosseum, and a few other sights. The price is reasonable, the room was clean, and comfortable. (The shape-shifting, massage beds are amazing. Especially if you are with kids. Our kid just loved to play with the bed.) The breakfast buffet has a wide range of foods,...

Only a few blocks from Central Rail Station and Subway. Clean Room, Nice Breakfast, Friendly Staff. Good restaurants nearby. We took a courier from airport to hotel and spent one night. Hotel stored our large suitcase for 2 weeks while we traveled Italy. We returned to the Hotel and spend 4 nights, retrieved our large suitcase and took an Atlantic...

We found this hotel to be very nice, the front desk staff was excellent, and the room was a bit quirky but nice. By "quirky" I mean that the room and hallways had several unexpected right-angles and it was like wandering through a maze sometimes. A bit unusual. Not bad, just unusual. One of the good items turned out to...

We stayed here for one night on our way back from Florence. Excellent hotel in a central location. Right near the main train station and underground line. The room was not very spacious, but that's typical of most European hotels. Breakfast buffet was average and acceptable. The best thing about the hotel is the friendly staff and their wonderful level...

We stayed in a family room which had plenty of room for 3 adults a double massage bed and a single. No real view to speak of facing inwards but always clean and a good bathroom, however if you want a view go to the roof top for a breath of fresh air if you can get past the people...

This is the first day of our stay in this hotel, we came to Rome for our honeymoon, we booked this hotel because of its good price, we didn't expect much, but as we got here we definitely surprised. This is a really really top 4 * hotel, we didn't have breakfast for the first day before our check-in so...

Very well located hotel, which is within a 2 minute walk from the Termini train station (also with Metro) and excellent quaint restaurants offering delicious Italian food at a decent price. The rooms are large with electric massage beds (although ours didn't work), TV, mini bar, toiletries (soap, body wash, shampoo, hair cover and shaving set), AC and a balcony....

We've been to Rome many times and I must say they had the best beds. Their breakfast staff top notch, ask for a Cappucino from the staff, don't settle for the machine one. Best breakfast pastries I've ever had. It's close to the main train station so the area could be scary, but it was ok. Hotel close to some...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
