Booked to stay in this hotel for 3 nights. Unfortunately our flight was cancelled so we missed out on the first night. Hotel didn't offer to refund any of the money for the first night we missed out on. I paid just under €200 for 3nights for 2people bnb. The hotel would be getting a review of a lot less...

I had visited Rome with my wife for our wedding anniversary. I can bet that there is no other hotel in Rome which would have given me a better service than Augusta Lucilla Palace! From the check-in to the best room of the hotel, to the packed breakfast for my early morning checkout, this hotel tops the list. A special...

Tucked away in a little side street as most of the hotels are, but a good hotel, clean and efficiently run, good location for any railway travel and walking to their treasures i.e. Collosseum, Trevi Fountain (amazing) etc

This was the first hotel on our trip to Italy, where we were stopping in Rome, then Florence and lastly Venice. The location itself was really good, just a five minute walk to the train station and located close to most shops. Other local attractions are a longer walk, but you can hop on the metro (again close to the...

Staff is fastastic. Front desk personnel spoke many languages, were always friendly, and helped facilitate the retrieval of lost airline luggage. Room was large and comfortable. Housekeeper gave us fresh sheets everyday and cleaned/tidied the room perfectly. The location of this hotel is centrally located and only a 5 minute walk from the Termini station. Breakfast in the mornings was...

Stayed for 3 nights in this lovely hotel We arrived at 11 and weren't expecting the room to be ready so left the bags and wandered off for lunch somewhere near by and came back about 1 Room: decent size, clean, tidy, everything we needed. My husband booked us a trip to Rome for a Christmas present - a 3 night stay on an excellent deal offered by British Airways. The hotel is in a great location and only a short walk from the Termini station. The staff at the Augusta Lucilla Palace hotel are lovely - really helpful and happy to answer any questions...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
